OMG...she is just GORGEOUS! Congratulations, what a sweetie pie she is. :lovestruc I just want to reach through the computer and kiss those cheeks of hers!

Oh my goodness Dave ! What a beautiful little one ! Just gotts ta make ya smile.!:thumbsup2

What a cutie!! Enjoy! they grow up entirely too fast.

What made me smile this morning is waking up and realizing that I will be at the Fort in two more days!

My son's school is having their book fair this week. And the theme is heroes. Today was "Bring Your Hero to School" day. He wanted me and my Dad who is a police officer to come. We got to have lunch with him and then take him to the book fair...
Of course when I dropped him off at his classroom, he cried... And then when I picked him up from school he was sick and we spent the afternoon at the dr.... But that little time being his 'hero' at school today was wonderful! :lovestruc

mnsprk....what a beautiful little girl ! Congratulations!

What made me smile today?
This morning when I was getting ready for work, I went outside to put the plant on my front porch out go get some rain. (YEAH, we finally got some rain!) When I looked up in the sky, I saw two separate rainbows! I will post some pictures this evening.

That might be the cutest baby pic I've seen! What a precious grand!

What made me smile today... my 2yo was sitting in her room being very quiet... I called out to her and asked "What are you doing?" She says "I'm getting the boogies out of my nose. They're sticky, Mommy" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:surfweb: You won't be smilin' when you're wipin' 'em off the wall. :sad2:

I'm just sayin'....:rolleyes1

:rotfl:

I know - she was sitting on her bed... So, DH comes home and says "Why are you washing her bed stuff?" :rotfl2:

What made me smile today was seeing the hubbs in makeup... :rolleyes1They had a costume contest at work today and he went as a pirate (I didn't get to see the whole get up, but he won 1st place :thumbsup2). He didn't do a real good job of washing the makeup off before he left the office though, and he was still wearing eyeliner when he got home. ;)

What made me frown today... Microsoft pushed an update down to my computer. When it restarted I couldn't get passed the password. I know I was typing it correctly. Ended up re-installing the Operating System and software. Bummer

What made me smile today... buying a Texas Rangers ALCS Champions T-shirt. Yippee! :cool1: :thumbsup2  :woohoo: :cheer2:

We took a drive around the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights. Down a side street we glimpsed a lighted sign that said "Ditto --->". We turned around and went back to see what it was referring to. Their neighbors were the "Griswalds" with lights everywhere choreographed to a music you could tune your radio to. I enjoyed the Ditto much more than I did their neighbors techy display. It made me smile. :)

Marry Christmas!

I got a big grin today from making people smile sharing my gift of music (along with my husband) at church. Playing Christmas music is one of my favorite things to do and I look forward to singing and playing my flute and oboe each year. It is my way to sharing the love of the season to others through music.

(please excuse my wet hair and baggy clothes, I have asked Santa for new smaller clothes!)

Jen - congratulations on needing the smaller clothes for Christmas!

I didn't realize how much the music meant to me until I got to see my kids appreciation for it and now see it through their eyes (and ears). My oldest had given up his music in the past year and sold all of his guitars and amps (except for one well played acoustic). He was just gifted a replacement guitar and practice amp from his girlfriend and the local music shop where he first got lessons at age 12. My daughter always has a song in her heart and is singing along to the radio (she's introduced me to country music) and my youngest son is learning to play the alto sax. We come from a small town that is hurting in this economy, but the school still maintains a strong music program and the Christmas concert was packed - had to take turns and organize the seating in the auditorium because it was standing room only.

That is so wonderful to hear. Music in schools not only strengthens the maturity of the students involved, it solidifies their reading skills (they are in fact, learning another language) and math skills. It teaches discipline, grace and proper use of emotion. I am so happy your son has taken music back up. It is a life long commitment in our family from both parents and our son sings with us and is now learning music. He has picked up things that I could not have possibly taught him at this age already, like vibrato in his voice.

I cannot tell you how much I look forward to watching my son grow as a musician.
