What loop should we try and request??

We are going to be there one week from tomorrow!! We are coming in our travel trailer, reserved a full hookup site. We would like to be close to the pool. My 2 princesses love to swim! They also love bike riding around the loop. Any suggestions would be great!

If you have a Full Hookup Site, then the closest to the pool would be 1600. 1700 is a little bit farther from the pool, and is also a good loop.

We camped in the 1600 loop at the end of June and loved it! There is a sidewalk across the street from the loop that will take you right to the Meadows Pool area. You can walk or ride your bikes. It isn't far. Have fun!

p.s. If you are coming back from the pool after dark it helps to have a flashlight because the Fort is dimly lit at night.

Its been a few years since we stayed at the fort but I always like Jack Rabbit Run (Not sure the loop #) for its easy walk over to the trading post / pool.

Jack Rabbit Run is the 800 loop, and is now a premium site loop. Actually - it was the first loop to be converted to premium. IIRC, our very own TCD was the 2nd camper assigned to this loop when it re-opened as a premium loop in 2009!!

If you want a real short walk, ask to be assigned a site near the comfort station that is shared with the 1500 loop. I believe the site #'s closest are 1630-1638. Site 1636 is right on the path to the comfort station.

FortMommy- I agree with those who recommended that you request the 1600 loop, it is definitely the closest full hook up loop to the pool.

Deb, you are correct. Jack Rabbit Run is the 800 loop.

But, the 500 loop was the first loop to open as a premium loop.

The 800 loop was second.

And it was 2008 when the 800 loop re-opened.

It re-opened on October 30, 2008. And, TCD was the second camper assigned to the loop. The first camper had a sign posted at this site. He had arrived just before me.
