Four months until our Disney wedding/honeymoon. I'm getting excited and I want to start shopping. What are some of the things that you buy in advance for your trip? The only thing I have bought so far are Mickey flip flops. :cheer2:

Misty fans, which can be found at WalMart or BJ's Club. Puncho's from the dollar store. Also sunscreen and glow necklaces. I think the Disney Store is due for a big sale soon, so maybe a hat or t-shirts?

Have Fun

oooh! My favourite is going to the dollar store and buying little stickers that I can use to decorate my planning folder(s) and my ADR cards! And the little travel-sized toiletries and stuff - I don't use them but I still like to look through them all!

I like to go out and buy pretty much anything with Mickey on it of course!
But in my pre-trip bag right now, I have some Orbit gum(it's not sold on property and it's my favorite!)
Glow necklaces, and the chip clips. Someone gave me a great tip to use them on the curtains in the room at night. Sometimes I just can't get the curtains to stay closed all the way. I hear these work perfect!
Have a beautiful wedding and a magical honeymoon!princess:

I'm a freak about the cleanliness of public bathrooms.... I always bring a pack of flushable bathroom cleaners... makes life happier. :) ... i've also used these to clean off tables to eat on since finding a clean one is sometimes hard to do.

I also buy the wet one singles....

yes, i love clean things. :cool1:

Welcome and congratulations!!!!!

Some sort of bags-- either a fanny pack for each of you (www.beltoutlet.com) or a messenger bag type of thing. (Lots of people here recommend the baggalini.)

If you're thinking of pin trading, try www.mousepinsonline.com. You can read all about it, but the gist of it is this: you arrive at WDW with pins, and can trade the ones you have with CMs or anyone else.

Rain ponchos. You can expect lots of brief intervals of rain, and they're a LOT cheaper at the dollar store than at WDW.

Don't forget sunblock!

you dont have to bring ponchos if you dont want to carry them. they sell them behind the counters in all the parks. you may have to ask for them. same as tylenol etc. one thing i would advise is to get trip insurance seeing your comming in the midst of hurricane season ( lucky you ) that way if you have to evacuate i think they compensate you somehow. check into it and read up about there poilcy. in 2004 we got slammed and 12 days without electric really sucks after you do it a few times.. I think we did it after 3 hurricanes.not to scare you but be prepared to leave and keep an eye on the tropics.Congratualtions on your marriage and have a wonderful trip :)

I will be at WDW for Sep 16 to 27th. I bought some disney t-shirt for $5 at disney shop from the internet, that was a good buy. I bought my disney crocs as well for dh and ds5. In wartmart we got some travel size personal items: deodorants, shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, sun block lotion, wipes, etcs..

And very important like the other thread recommended, the travel insurance. We are in Puerto Rico and we wanted to have our trip cover just in case something happen. We bought our from Disney and it cover even our airline tickets even do we bought it separatly.

Have a wonderful honeymoon!!!!:goodvibes

things we have already bought and put away so that I'm not blowing the budget a week before we have to leave..
deodorant
toothpaste
big bottle of lotion
shampoo and conditioner
hair detangler for DD
hair rubberbands
body wash
sunscreen (that stuff is expensive!! the spray on kind that is clear is the best!)
aloe spray
ponchos
small cooler
memory card for camera
clothes (new underwear, socks, a few t's and shorts)
film for old fashioned camera
razors and shaving lotion
I'm sure there is more but it's too early to think! I would rather buy stuff as we get ready and stash it somewhere than have to run to Target or Walmart the weekend before we need to pack and spend $100 on stuff. I always check the expiration dates on the stuff I stash to make sure it will be okay!

B/c of the flight restrictions, I buy $1 suntan lotion from Target for our carry on bags--Sports 30 by Coppertone and Waterbabies 50. This way, we can go right to the parks after checking in all greased up :)---also, since this is your honeymoon----I would order a nice Mickey shirt or matching t-shirts that you have customized w/ your names as a surprise after you are there for your spouse.

I also hit the $5 sale last week at the Disney Store. That way I can take some things with me and not spend so much $$$ on souviners plus I like for Tinkerbell to leave a surprise for the kids the night before we leave. I also bought some costumes when they have been on sale because we are going to the MNSSHP.
