What are some "little things" that irritate, annoy, bug you - but that don't REALLY matter in the grand scheme of things?

For me, it's toilet tissue not torn off properly at the perforations. If I see that the "next square" has a little bit leftover from the "former square" I have to tear it off and throw it away.

Also, water spots by the bathroom/kitchen sinks. I HAVE to wipe them up anytime they are there.

Roommates who hit the snooze button 5 times instead of setting the alarm later

Um, check out my thread on people not placing the divider bar after their groceries. :teeth: I was told to read the book, "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff".

Well, I read the book a long time ago and you know what? It STILL TICKS ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

When our receptionist, who has been here about 15 yrs., puts people in my VM who need things totally unrelated to my job.

I don't even know where to begin on this one.

Here's one. People who rush out to the office to ask you something before you have even had a chance to unock your office door and take off your coat. And that's when you get to work 10 minutes early.

Edited to add another. When the pencil cup on your desk is blocking your computer screen and you are not able to move it out of the way using your mouse.

Denae

People who don't return my phone calls (or emails) in a timely manner.

Chipped nail polish

People who chew with their mouth open

Well, I don't really have time to list everything.....

1) People driving who turn in front of you and then drive slow and make you brake...if you make someone brake...you didn't have time to turn in front of them
2) People driving who cut you off, or go thru stops signs, etc, when its not their turn. Wait your turn!
3) The person in the drive up who waits on people on the phone for 10 minutes before even saying hello to the person in the drive thru...whos actually there. Phones have a hold button.

I hate when people use two hands to eat i.e. fork in right hand, hunk of bread in left hand. Drives me freakin' nuts

DH's inability to refil the ice cube bin or crack more than one tray at a time (actually goes for some of my co-workers as well!)

People who pop chewing gum and/or chew it with their mouths open.

Gross eating habits. Yeesh. I can't stand when someone eats with their mouth open. Of if we're sharing something and they lick their fingers. Or if they have a tendency to get food anywhere on their person but their mouth. Of if I can hear them chewing and swallowing.

Bleck.

People who don't take the time to use the right word.

They're - their - there

You're - your

It's - its

I could go on and on . . .

Everything bothers me. Maybe I should read the book about not sweating the small stuff. I'm not even kidding....every single thing bothers me. It could be the guy next to me making an annoying noise with his mouth. He does it all day long. WTH? Who sits there making noise all day?!? :confused3

Everything bothers me when I'm in the car. Other drivers....pedestrians....bike riders.....roller-bladers....you name it, I hate it when I'm in the car.

My I-Hate-Them of the day is Blue Cross Customer Service people. Why can't they give me a straight answer? I'm calling for help and information. I'm not calling to quote you lines from your website and have you say "Well, if that's what it says...." to me. If you can't answer me, perhaps you shouldn't be working there.

Ah....people who can't control their body movements. Why do I always sit in the booth behind the person who insists on slamming themselves backward? What are they doing?? In an elevator, is there a reason they have to step on my heel or elbow me?

My DH always tells me to relax. I really need to....everything annoys me. I try, but I just can't sit there and enjoy a meal while the guy behind me is flinging himself back against me. DH doesn't seem to mind. :confused3

Shame on you! :teeth: ;) Maybe we should blindfold you and install ear plugs. :teeth:

:rotfl:

What irritates me is when neighbors - or their visitors - park in front of my house when they have plenty of curb space in front of their own. Its not like I NEED the space. And its not like I OWN the space. But it stills irritates me.

At the train stations, I hate it when people stand on the left side of the escalator. The right side is for standing the left side is for walking. Drives me nuts

Ice chewing. I love to chew it, I can't stand to hear someone else do it.
People misprounouncing words: Picture like pitcher, wolf like woof, etc., totally send me bonkers.

It really bothers me when cashiers give me my bills, change and receipt all together. I was short changed $100 once by a bank teller and I luckily caught it. Ever since then, I make sure I count my money.

DH says he's going to put me in a bubble. :worried:

Ironically, I can manage in the crowded WDW parks and nothing bothers me. Maybe it's because I EXPECT to get bumped around there? :confused3
