I had a view of the Lodge last March, 2nd floor room- the room was on the short side of the villas building that faces the lodge. We had no problems with noise from luggage carts or the pool area. We found the room and the view to be very pleasant, and were hoping to get the same view when we return in Feb
Here's a few of the views I snapped during a stay there in Oct. The first couple of views were mine (had the view of the covered bridge connecting the Lodge and the Villas):
Alot of overgrown brush/vegetation really :
Another shot of my view if I looked to the right :
Walked around to the woodsy side. This view was from the perspective of a ground floor woods view :
Various other courtyard/Lodge views :
This was a view of the main Lodge from a ground floor perspective. There's a pathway/walkway here as well that winds around. Higher up rooms would not have the shrubbery/trees so much in the way :
I always request pool view, close to the elevator. That gives you a chance of not being aaaaaaaallllllll the way down the long hall, and avoiding the dumpster view. As other have said, you are looking mostly at woods views, pool view, or lanscaping/walkway views.
We will be down in May too! We will be there May 13-20 to celebrate my Birthday!!! YEAH!!!! 2 bedroom villa/VWL. If you happen to be down at that time and see a blond headed 5 yr old boy covered it chocolate icecream, RUN!! My bestfriends little boy loves to "share" his treats with everyone.
We hope to have a great time and now I am little worried about "dumping rooms view" I hope I don't get stuck with one of those for our first trip to VWL. Should I ask for anything on the top level and hope for a lake view? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks everyone
