What kind of stroller to bring?

We've cruised on the Magic 12 times. On our last cruise, several people "stored" their large strollers in the hall. It was the first time I've seen this. The halls are narrow. These strollers made it very difficult to get by, expecially if you were carrying something, wearing a formal, etc....

Yes, use the ship's big stroller...but please store it in the space that you've paid for.
Or in a wheelchair! I can't imagine! How rude.

I have a 2 and 3 year old and we never fly without our double stroller (front and back seats, not side by side). We have taken it on 9 flights without any problem and it's great to carry things on if the kids decide to walk.

With the cruise, I think we will take it too. We'll deal with it in the cabin and be willing to wait at the elevator. I thought about bringing our umbrella one for the 2 year old, but I know the 3 year old will eventually want to sit and rest too.

Do whatever you are most comfortable with.

We got back this past Monday and we used our Graco Stroller for our 2 yo DD. It's not the Travel Sysytem one. It's a little smaller & more lightweight, but it's not an umbrella stroller. We had no problems!! I am sooo glad we took it! DD is at that age where she wants to walk sometimes and ride sometimes.

Unloading the car DD wanted to walk. DH took care of her and the stroller held all 5 of our carry-ons and a small cooler over the handle. And they were heavy!!

No problem w/ luggage when we went to the buffet..we just parked the stroller off to the side ot the restaurant where no one else was walking or using.

We stored the stroller in the closet with a piece of luggage and the other luggage went under the bed. I can't BELIEVE people would put them in the hall. I did see that, but it was only the last night and I guess they were checking it for luggage? :confused3 Those halls can be tight.

Getting an elevator was a little tricky, but not too bad. The elevators were pretty fast and people were courteous.

Stroller was great in Nassau and CC! We attached a fan to it and DD happily rode in it in that heat. It was hot and she even slept and she really liked that fan! It was too hot for her to walk the distance around town in Nassau and from the ship to the beach. And if you do alot of shopping you can put your bags in the bottom, and your camera, and your purse or camera or beach toys or whatever you don't feel like carrying. I am taking one next year and she will be 3! We need it in the ports.

I have been reading the post's in this thread regarding strollers. I see that someone was asking if they had a picture of the stroller DCL offers while on the ship...did anyone ever get a picture? I am having a delimma about what to do with our stroller situation. I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old which both still use the stroller...we have a double. I am thinking that the 3 year old will be fine on the ship but we have late seating and I know that the 1 year old will never make it through dinner. We are bringing our double stroller to use at the ports...but where thinking of brining our smaller fold up one (almost as small as an umbrealla stroller) to use on the ship because it lays back enough for DS (1) to fall asleep in. But if the one DCL has would work while on the ship, we would not have to bring both. Any suggestions??? Does the DCL stroller fold up as samll as an umbrella? Do you keep it at night in your room or is there a place to store it other than your room??
