I know a lot of people put their kids in Crocs, but are they really comfortable to wear all day? We're going in Feb and I don't plan on the kids doing water stuff that will get them really wet. Are waterproof shoes a must?
My kids wear tennis shoes....they day we go to AK and I know that want to ride Kali River Rapids they bring their flops and put in the backpack. Before they ride they swith shoes when they get off they switch back. But, if we go during warmer months my older dd16 wears flops the whole time.
shoes that are broke in - we did tennis shoes on boys (I wore sandals)
most part they dry out pretty fast when we went in August
I would get watershoes for the waterparks/pool
just don't do new shoes - I hated seeing the kids with blisters & parents too tired to carry 8 to 10 year olds
I was thinking of this myself... I wear flip flops in summer... no matter what!!!!! But I dunno what my 4yr old will feel comfortable in, I'm planning to bring sandals and *flops* with us... I just don't know that socks and sneakers will be comfortable in the hot hot June sun
We wear tennis shoes. There is no way I'd want to be stuck in Crocs all day with all that walking. I can't stand wearing flip flops to the mail box so I know that would be out!
I cant get my child to wear anything but flipflops, even in the winter. I am more of a tennis shoe kinda girl. If Ima be walkin 5 miles I want something with some support.
Last time we went, we only brought flip flops & Keens for the kids. They wore both in the parks depending on their moods. And there were no foot complaints because they wear those shoes every day in the summer.
We bring too much! DS(9) wears running shoes, Keens or his Adidas flip flops...whichever he decides on that morning and they all work well...no problems. DD(11) goes with flip flops unless it's cold then it's running shoes.
My DS wears sneakers/teenis shoes. My DD has two pairs of shoes. She has sneakers/tennie shoes for when she's walking & a soft pair of slipper like shoes since she has issues with her right foot/leg.

Glad I'm not the only one! We also all wear tennis shoes no matter the season in Disney. We do bring a pair of sandals to wear when were enjoying the resort pool or beach but for in the parks we like our sneakers!
My kids wear Keens so that's what I was planning on bringing. One needs new shoes and I need to hurry and get them so they'll be broken in. I think new shoes are probably the worst thing you can bring to Disney!
