What kind of scale do you have?

I've been reading some of the posts here and from everyone's reported weighloss it looks like you have good scales that give fractions of pounds. Mine is digital but it only gives whole numbers.

What type of scales do you use? Do you recommend it?

We use a Taylor Digital scale that I picked up at Target for about $30.00. It's great - I would definitely recommend it. You can get on it ten times in a row and you'll keep getting the same number... (even if you don't want to - believe me I've tried. ) :teeth:

It also measures to the .10 of a lb so that's nice on the weeks when you have a loss - even if it's slight you'll know!

I have a Tanita and I love it. It measures to the .2 of a pound. It also measures body fat. It has four buttons to program with your height, weight, age etc. and it also has a button for visitors. It is really accurate.

That sounds similar to the one I use at the gym....it's really great - especially the whole body fat thing....because I've actaully GAINED muscle weight (the GOOD kind) and lost FAT (the evil stuff!)....simply using a straight number of pounds as my progress indicator would have left me a bit disappointed.

I have a Health-o-meter scale, like the ones you find at your doctor's office. With was a gift given to me a few year ago.

I bought a Weight Watchers scale online for about $25 I think. It weighs in 1/2 lbs. I like it except for the sticker in the middle with the "step here....." instructions.

One that lies!!!

No really, I have a Tanita. Similar to MelanieC's but mine only measures to the half pound. It also has the body fat measurement on it, but when i was looking for a scale I consulted consumer reports and they said Tanita's were most accurate for weight, but can vary up to 6%accuracy on the body fat.
