DH is in the military so we get a ton of discounts... about anywhere we go gives a military discount :woohoo: We can fly through the air force bases for like $10....all kinds of cool stuff.... I get some discounts for being an employee w/the telephone company...but nothing like he gets!!

His best friend is an airline pilot...we were discussing vacation. We're all talking about going together to Hawaii next year. He sends me this website w/all his perks being an airline employee...I about fell off my chair!!! DCL for about 1/2 what we pay... WDW... anywhere really!!! Vacations for 1/2 price sound great to me!!!!

What do you get? I think I need to consider a new career!!!

I get a paycheck twice a month. Actually we get a few discounts on things but really not much.

I'm a waitress and I get 50% off the food I eat when I'm working, or I can have the salad bar for 75 cents or the full buffet for $1.50. I can drink all the soda/iced tea I want for free at work.

When not working, if I go in to eat I get a 20% discount.

And I get time off any time I want, just have to tell the boss before she puts next month's schedule up.

i'm retired government, dh is active. we can get the government discount on lodging if a place offers it. beyond that not much-i did find out one of the national moving lines offers the same gov/military rate that they provide to gov. contractors to active and retired gov. (much less than i've priced out cross country moves at with a variety of other companies).

i guess the best 'perk' is reasonably priced medical/dental coverage that i get at active employee cost for the remainder of mine/dh's life (and until the kids are 25)-for me thats priceless :thumbsup2

I work for DH so I get to sleep with the boss! :teeth:

:rotfl2: In all those examples in my recent harassment training no one considered that a perk! But I'll take your word for it. :lmao:

I get a car, gas, expense account and all the frequent traveller points/miles associated with being on the road 50% of the time.

I get to fly 75,000 - 100,000 miles and see the world 3 days at a time. Next weeks trip: Mexico City.

Isn't that the truth! When dh and I met I was paying over $600 a month for med. insurance...he was active duty and all of his was FREE...that's a big difference! Now he's retired and we just paid the $460 for the YEAR :woohoo: prescriptions are like $6-9!!! I remember paying $75 for eyedrops for ds!!! I can't believe the differences there...and they get tons of leave!! My boss is cool, I can get off whenever I want but that is dangerous... I want to go somewhere all the time! Free soda... yikes...I'd gain weight b/c of that one :)

Aimee... can I go to work w/you :teeth: how awesome!!!

Local/theme park discounts, cheap tuition if I was still going to school or had a family, excellent leave time and very good and unexpensive medical insurance

My dh is my boss too and he is a division manager of recycling here and gets baseball tickets, seaworld tickets, concert tickets( just went to faith hill and tim Mcgraw concert. And alot of little extras too.

I work in Guest Services/ Concierge here in Orlando and I get free theme park tickets for me and my family, free dinner show tickets, and free admission into pretty much everything else in Orlando. I also get to eat at restaurants that have referral programs.

I get to not be unemployed. Otherwise we get no perks/discounts. We are a medium sized company also. :guilty:

Oh, I forgot. I also get invited to behind the scenes parties at WDW after hours a couple of times a year.

Free tuition for me and my dependents. With a kid coming up to college age, I won't be leaving this job for awhile. :teeth:

Free fitness center, lots of vacation time, sick leave, and family care leave.

DH works for the state so we get lots of gov't discounts for that, too. Between him and I, we can usually get a pretty good discount at the Dolphin and that's my favorite thing!

I'm just a piddly part timer so I get nada but an embarassingly small paycheck. Dh though gets one of the best health plans available in this country today. Being one of the largest employers in the area, lots of places will give us a discount if he shows his badge and we get 2 free passports a year to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Not much but at least he has a job.

The school I work for gives me a family pass to all athletic events, but that's about it being a substitute teacher.

DH doesn't get too much at his job except a pretty good health plan and a great company picnic in the summer. :)

I find out about all the new products before they come to the grocery store. And before I started working from home we got samples all the time.

Now I get an incredible amount of freedom to manage my own schedule and project plans!
