What kind of pen/marker should I bring for autographs?

I read somewhere "chubby" but not sure what that is. I want to make a 6 x 6 scrapbook of the autographs and pictures. I think I might just bring the paper and have them sign it, because I'm not going to make one ahead of time.

Thanks for any advice! :earboy2:

We always use the big over sized pens they sell all over the place at WDW.They have the clicky thing at the top so you just use your thumb to close it.They're quite a bit bigger around than a regular ink pen,so it's easier for a character to hold onto.

The next time we go, I am planning on taking the big sharpie markers with the retractable tips. They come in lots of colors and are large enough for the bulky handed characters to hold easily. They make cuite little tiny ones now to that don't retract (they have a cap) but I think they would be to difficult for the characters to use.

I saw the cute little Sharpie markers and I agree that they would be too small for a character's gloved hands.

I think the click type pen is best, no top to lose. Be careful using a Sharpie that is permanent ink. A character could have trouble seeing to replace the top and get ink on someones clothes.

There are Sharpie retractable's now and Sharpie mini's. The mini's are made so you can clip them on things...like backpackes, zippers, etc.

And they come in a rainbow of colors!

I always take big Magic Markers or Sharpies. It is so much easier for the big handed characters to hold, plus the thick black ink looks so much nicer than regular pen ink!

Do the sharpies...ever get on things by accident? Like the character costumes or anyone elses clothing??

yes, i have had the sharpies (although i usually use the broad tip of a zig marker....but the clickable sharpies are perfect for this) get on the kids shirts (once), the scrapbook itself, and the gloved hand of the characters...

i felt bad, but while looking at the glove, i noticed that there were other pen marks on there as well...i think that they know that that is going to happen. usually it occurs on my kids from the kids themselves.

We used CM round tip pens last week and none of the characters had any problems!
