What kind of head/sweat band do you use?

I'm one of those who has a problem with fly aways when pulling my hair up, so I decided to try a Sweaty Band. I used it at the gym for the first time this morning and was disappointed. Everything on their website says they are guaranteed not to slip, but of course I am the exception. I noticed before I even got on the treadmill that the back was starting to slip, and by the time I was finished with my run, it had slipped completely and was pretty much just laying on the top of my head. Now I'm considering a Bondi Band, but don't want to waste any more money. Anyone else have experience with a good product that they recommend? Thanks in advance!

I like Glitzbandz they are functional and pretty and they come in two sizes 19" and 20" although I am an adult I still get the 19" because I have a small head. I have not experienced any slipping with that brand.

I have the same problem - I can't wear any bands that go around the head like that. They always slip up the back of my head. I'm starting to get a complex that my head is shaped weird or something.

I use bondi bands. I have both a headband one and a ponytail hat one. Love them both!

Same here - can't wear any of those cute headbands, however I did purchase a Bondi Bond when they placed the WISH Princess order and I am pretty pleased with it! It has stayed where I placed it, but I only do shorter 4 miles run...so not sure how it will hold up for longer runs. I want to try Sweaty Bands since they have such nice prints - but they seem pretty pricy to me. I am volunteering at the ING Miami marathon at the end of the month and plan on checking out any headbands booths they may have.

Forgot to mention that I read on someone's blog that these styles of headbands stay on because of a little bump in the base of your skull....I guess mine is just big enough for the Bondi Band, but not big enough for the others

I wore my WISH Bondi Band on my 11 mile run on Saturday and did not have any problems with it. The thinner bands always seem to slip.

Well that stinks. I was going to recommend Sweaty Bands...they work for me. I've worn them for a few half marathons and one full marathon and they stayed in place. I hope Bondi Bands work better for you.

manhattan - yes, they ARE expensive, but they work for me. Everyone is different I guess.

I also have trouble with headbands slipping. The RunningSkirts headband does not stay on for anything. I've had good luck with the black sweat wicking Bondi Bands because the material grips my hair. The cute lycra Bondi Bands don't stay on. They're too slippery.

I have a fivehead and the same problem where most bands don't stay put on my head. I decided to gamble on a Bondi Band after talking with one of their reps at an expo and I haven't bought anything else since. I highly recommend them, but I've found the sweat wicking ones stay in place best, and actually wick the sweat for the most part.

DVCMAUREEN- I'll put on a wicking Bondi Band first, and a 'cute' one on top of it, and they'll stay in place perfectly. For the marathon relay I wore a pink wicking Bondi Band under a silver sequined Bondi Band and neither moved. I don't think the sequined one would have stayed in place for the run on its own since it lost a bit of elasticity when I took it off.

I'm a BondiBand devotee... :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

They are great! Just make sure you wear it like they show, starting at your hairline, not pushed farther back. I wear them mostly for the sweat-wicking properties, they are great for keeping it from falling down your forehead into your eyes... But I also love the designs & sayings... somehow, they make me feel speedier. :)

Ahhhhh, great idea! Thanks! I'll give that a try.

I'm a BondiBand lover. I have 6 or 7 of them. I love being able to quickly hand wash them and they dry quickly. I pull mine a little forward on my forehead and it always stays in place. You can get 5 for $25 with the promo code FIVE or if you buy 3 you get one free with the promo code ONE. Lots of health/fitness blogs usually have giveaways of Bondi Bands too.

I'm another Bondi Band fan, and before Bondi Band, I wasn't able to keep things from sliding right out of my hair. As long as you have part of the band touching forehead, it stays right in place. I also love the sayings and the wicking properties of the bands I've gotten.

Ahhhh, that must be my problem. Thank you both for explaining that it needs to touch your forehead. This shouldn't be so difficult for me.

I also use the sweat wicking Bondi Bands with no problems.

Ah, I've found my people...fellow Bondi Band devotees. I wear mine daily at the gym as well as all summer at the beach. I'm actually kinda embarrassed by how many I have (25 or so?), but I like to switch it up. Also, I find that eventually they start to slip after they've been washed many many times.

I've been trolling their site 'cause I want some new ones, but lately I'm having a hard time finding 5 that I like (no sense ordering fewer than that when you can use the coupon code!) -- so many of the designs have skull & crossbones or camo print -- so I wait and wait. I want some cute new ones!!
