What Kind of Childrens' Activities...

...are there offered at the Animal Kingdom Lodge? We'll be there with our DS (6) at the end of April and plan on spending most of that Saturday at the Lodge. Other DS (18mo.s) will hopefully be sleeping.
Any info will be much appreciated.

the animal kingdom lodge has
-the animals along the savannah are entertainment enough. its nice to stroll the area & watch the giraffes, zebras, flamingos & gazelles.
-african storytelling in the afternoon at arusha rock, ask a cm for times.
-pumbaa's arcade with classic games & video games
-a playground near the uzima pool.
-simba's clubhouse (kids club) *for a fee, which is a supervised babysitting center which offers parents some time alone in the afternoons & evenings* kids enjoy games & activities, movies & snacks.

I know I'm likely to get pummeled BUT we were really disappointed with 2 of the activities they listed for kids at AKL.

1. Night Vision on the Savannah. There were about 20 people that showed up at the appointed time and they had 2 pairs of the night vision goggles. We had about 30 seconds each with them. You barely had time to find an animal before you had to turn them over to the next person.

2. African storytelling. First of all I guess in my mind there was going to be this really old african man or woman doing the telling of some mysterious, exciting, lesson-to-be-learned story. What we got was a young college age girl that I am positive has never been to Africa in her life and told the most boring story we have ever heard that had nothing to do with Africa. My kids begged to leave in the middle of the story. We didn't. We should have.

Now the resort we loved. Pool was great. Neat gift shop. Great food. But those special activities left alot to be desired.
