What kind of camera do you have?

I bought the wife a new D80 last year for x mas it replaced her D70. This year she got another 4 gig SD card and digital picture frame and I just ordered her the Nikon 70-400 lense for it at a mere 1750.00 plus tax LOL. The things we men do for our wives I tell ya LOL...

I have great taste in both cameras and football teams - Canon S5 IS and Ohio State Buckeyes!!! :cheer2:

how do you download the video camera's hard drive (and on to what format?).

They are mpeg2file and all you do is hook up to a computer via usb and move the files. There is some software you can use that comes with it to burn to dvd, but I prefer Nero. It's pretty easy to use and it has a 7 hour recoding time on an empty disk and highest quality level (DVD quality). The battery will last for 90 minutes and only takes a little over an hour to fully recharge. It works well.

Since so many people take pictures while at disney, and there are so many threads about different places to take them. I was wondering what type of camera everyone uses?
Right now, I have a Kodak point and shoot digital, (its about 8 yrs old, and it leaves a spot in the middle of the picture), and a SLR 35mm Minolta, that I got as a graduation gift from high school, boy is it old :lmao: , but it works awesome.

I am looking to buy a DSLR before we leave for disney next month.

Just a thought for a new thread.

A two year old Casio 7.2 MP EX-Z120.

I have a silver one with a flash thingy on it
Must have the same as you although mine says Canon Powershot a630, 8MP 4x zoom, it has a reversable LCD screen in the back which I like, the camara is a tad bit heavy with all the batteries in it.

I've paid less than that for several cars I've owned over the years! :lmao:

Your first car was FREE! Mine was $750 (and a lot of money that you sunk into it! Did I ever thank you for that?) See ya tomorrow!!

I got my camera the day after Thanksgiving for a steal. It is a Kodak Easy Share 710. It is 7.1 mp and 10x zoom. I love it. It is so easy. It even has a fireworks setting that I intend to use this trip. I also have a mini tripod for the night shots. The trick at night is to be still. I can even hook my camera up to my lexmark printer and have a menu in the camera that I can select pic size and print directly from the camera. It is so neat.

BTW, my first camera was a brownie.

Nikon Coolpix S51..........LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Bought new on Amazon.com before our Oct. 2007 WDW trip. Found the best camera prices on Amazon with no shipping or tax and usually a free memory card(mine was free and holds 1200 pics). Looked, studied and priced camera's for 3 months. It is a hard choice and everyone has their fav's.:upsidedow

Mine and my M-I-L's 1st digital camera was a Canon (from a few years ago) and they both died at the same time. I HAVE NO USE FOR CANON!!!!!! BUT, just my opinion!

My Nikon is very small, very lightweight and easy to use. It is wi-fi capable(???????????) and uses a lith. ion batt that you just charge. It has many great settings that worked perfect on fast rides, inside shows and nighttime parades at WDW. My fireworks photos look professional!:confused3 I am clueless, but like I said it is easy to use!

I most definitely recommend this camera!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Good luck!!!!:flower3:

Nikon Coolpix S700, it's a point/shoot with 12MP, but only has 3X optical zoom. I bought it for my wife for Christmas, she shot about 400pics at WDW over the holiday (which didn't come close to filling the 4GB card) I haven't had a chance to edit them yet, but they look pretty good.

Gator bites and Tiger claws...........Nothing a few beers won't cure!!! :thumbsup2

I was looking at the nikon d40x, it looks to be about the same, do you like yours? Just wondering.

I do. I just wish I had bought it before my last WDW trip. It takes great pictures...I have great action shots of my son playing football that I took from the stands. I've waited a little late in life to want to be a photographer but I'm having great fun and learning much.

I just had to get in on THIS conversation! :) I'm with Shannone1--GO BLUE!!

Luv2Camp--I don't know about your football team, but I love the dog :) (and your camera)

I got a Canon S5 IS this Fall and I love it. Video and still shots in one camera, and the video quality is great with stereo sound! The 12X zoom is amazing!! We're heading to WDW in February, I'm anxious to try it out there. If anyone is interested there is a Photography board on the DIS and a whole thread devoted to Canon S3 IS/S5 IS.

We may not agree on football teams, but we definitely agree on cameras! I've been keeping up on the photography board too - I'm a little concerned about taking fireworks shots. That may be well above my photo abilities! Have fun in February - Please let me know how your shots turn out!

You mean there are other places on the dis other than camping WOW imagine that. I really need to get out more. I am going to check it out now. Thanks
