What kind and how many animals do you have?

Sadly- only fish :guilty: 6 of them, oh and 2 shrimp!

We lost our guinea pig last week, we had 4 or 5 hermit crabs but they died off 1 by 1 within the last 6 months, our cat got out about 3 weeks ago and hasn't come home, and we had to give our dog to a friend when we moved into this apartment. I love animals and wish we could have more but the land lord says no.

We have two Golden Retrievers. One is perfect and the other one...:rolleyes1

Us too! We have an 11 year old perfect Golden Retriever! Our 7 month old Golden is a few fries short of a happy meal:rotfl: But we love him

We also have a 3 month old Shishon which is just a fancy name for a mutt. She is a ****zu mixed with a bichon frise. Very cute and sweet.

So 3 dogs for us.

4 horses that I lease:
Cougar- 28 year old Arabian gelding
Kahnseco- 8 year old Anglo-Arab gelding
Kahndera- 11 year old Arab Mare
Sulley- 22 year old TB

2 cats:
Chernyy- 2 year old Bombay mix (black, his name even means black lol)
Koshka- 2 year old Bombay mix that isn't black, lol (she's a torti)

Dog that is kind of mine but lives with Gramma:
Bodie: 7 year old Sheltie

Lily - a mixed breed PITA (she'll be a year old this month), the vet said she looks to have rat terrier and possibly jack russell in her....what a combo.:scared1::rotfl:

DH & DD love her to death...I tolerate her. If she did not bark at everything that moves, have the energy of a rat on crack (and this is after we exercise the heck out of her) and tear everything up in her path I might feel differently.

And she has had dog training...she can sit and stay but that's about it.:sad2:

2 golden retrievers, ages 3 1/2 and 2 1/2

1 Shih tzu almost 4 yrs old, but the goldens came to us first, we just rescued Tyson the Shih tzu last October

2 cats ages 17 and 13

2 Bettas

6 Hermit Crabs

With the exception of our horses, all of our animals were abandoned. Once I wind up with them, I have everybody spayed or neutered.

Currently:

5 horses - varying between 10 - 15 years old except for the Appendix who is 5).
Paint
Quarter Horse
American Saddlebred
Appendix (QH and Thoroughbred cross)
Pasture horse - no particular breed

4 dogs (ages are approximate except for the Lab - he was a puppy)
15 year old mix female
4 year old mix male
1.5 year old black lab male
1 year old MinPin male

10 cats - range in age up to 11 years old

One came home with my husband on his horse after he found her as a kitten in a ditch on a ride (in a sack he found on the road since she didn't much want to ride the horse ;)).

One came home with me from the post office in the middle of a terrible storm. He was a little kitten and kept running up to people crying (who all ignored him :headache:). I got out of the car, and when he ran up to me, I took him with me.

One was found in a hotel parking lot (probably from feral cats near the interstate).

One is a handicapped Siamese with congenitally twisted back legs adopted from a horse barn where he was black with flea manure because he couldn't scratch the fleas (he does great with Frontline though and can really take off on his two front legs).

Our big yellow tabby just showed up at our house with a large scrape wound on his back/neck. I'm guessing he fell out of somebody's engine and was lucky it wasn't his head that got cut.

Several were a mother and her five kittens (the mother just died recently). She was pregnant when she got here, and I had all of them spayed/neutered as soon as they were old enough. They all have an immune issue (not the contagious one per the vet). One in particular has had to have a lot of vet work (part of her paw was removed, several of her teeth had to come out, etc.) and takes shots from time to time).

We just lost our 10 year old squirrel a few weeks ago. She was rescued along with her two siblings when a tree was cut down. We later learned that cats carry a bacteria that is lethal to squirrles (even our vet didn't know that). After losing the first two, I was able to find out on the internet what antibiotic you need to fight it and saved this one. The last year or so, her teeth have been gone so we had to chop up her food (vegetables and fruits) plus her Henry's Healthy Squirrel blocks (I highly recommend them). We really miss her. She was feisty to the end. :sad1:

We had a Siberian Husky female turn up last week, but after taking a $10,000 pay cut this year, I had to find her somewhere else to go. :sad1: The humane society guaranteed me that they would be able to place her quickly, and I sponsored her fee to help encourage her adoption. She was in heat when she got here so she may have already been bred.

Please spay or neuter your pet! :thumbsup2

Here's our brood:

14 Pygmy Goats

I'm so jealous! I want one SOOOO badly! They look adorable! do they make good pets? There is no way I'll ever be allowed to get one but man they are cute!

I have two cats, named Nermal and Dr. Grumbles.
I also have three hermit crabs named Gromit, Grover, and Grumpy.

We have three cats and right now they're all driving me crazy - there is a squirrel at the patio window and the three of them are meowing and screeching and leaving nose prints on my nice clean windows (well, vaguely clean). Most of the time I love them though.

Growing up my family had four horses, a donkey, three goats, numerous ducks and chickens, five rabbits and three hamsters. I miss having that many animals around, but until we move out to the country, there's no way we're adding to our brood!

We have 1 dog (border collie/jack russell mix) and 3 guinea pigs.

Our dog, Jiko, came from the Kentucky Humane Society when I had been working there. She had been at my location for 6 weeks, which was surprising because she's a small dog and very mild mannered...and those were usually adopted right away. It got to the point where she wouldn't go to anyone but me and I absolutely fell in love with her. She's been ours for two years.

Our guinea pigs come from three different litters. Eggnog is the oldest and the dominant piggy. He'll be six in October and he is most definitely a "mama's boy." He's a gentle piggy that does not display his dominance in a typical alpha piggy way. Coconut is three years old and is definitely the troublemaker and nutty one of the group. Waffle is very skittish. He's a rescue...he had been found in a bag next to a dumpster one very cold January morning a couple years ago. We're unsure of his exact age but we suspect he's around the same age as Coconut. His behavior when we first got him indicated that he had been treated very poorly by his previous owners. He's so much better now, but still is jumpy. I adore all three!

I live with my parents, and at our house we have two dachshunds (about 10 years old, we adopted them when they were about 8). We're their 4th owners! They're brother and sister and have luckily always been kept together. Their names are Rusty and Suzy and they are so sweet. :goodvibes

At my house, we also have a cat named Oreo who's almost 13. She sleeps most of the time, but she's a good old gal. :lovestruc

I don't live with my DBF, but we did adopt a cat together who stays at his house. His name is Louis and he's a BIG guy! He's part Maine Coon, and he's very smart and friendly. He's two years old.

Aww all i have is 1 dog his names is Mylo Chan Garcia (Long name lol) and he's 3yrs and we love him very very much he's our little bundle of joy :)

One mini-rex bunny who thinks he's human.

n501668737_578479_6134.jpg

He is absolutely darling. One day I am going to get a mini-rex. I think they are one of the most sweetest and playful rabbits I've ever seen. Our Lionheads can be little grumps sometimes but are so cuddly and cute that we can overlook their moodiness. :)

Right now all we have is one pet. A German Shepherd/Beagle mix named Jordan. She's ten. (:

6 dogs:
18 year old dachshund, Cricket
9 year old dachshund, Dixie
9 year old dachshund, Babe Ruth (Dixie's brother and "inherited" when my dad died)
11-ish year old dachshund Penny (Babe and Dixie's mom, "inherited" when my dad died)
2 year old beagle, Maya
9 month old PITA beagle, Rosie

Way too many cats:
Pumpkin and Nala
Scuttle, Ariel, and Flounder
