#1 for the memories. My son was 4 last time he went, and while he doesn't remember some stuff but does other stuff, it's like a new trip for him. One afternoon we sat on the train at Magic Kingdom and rode around, no lie, about 5 times. It's what he wanted to do and he loved trains at that time.
#2. We "get" the magic-the first time we went was for our honeymoon. We didn't know a THING about Disney other than it was by Universal Studios and we were going there for Halloween Horror nights. We checkout of WDW to save money and ended up at a dump off site. We checked out and went back to POR and practically begged to just get a room, we didn't have money for tickets. They found us a room and we swore we would never stay off site again! We spent the last two days of our honeymoon touring other resorts and enjoying DTD.
#3 We "feel" the magic. Again, our first trip at the 3:00 parade, I was standing there crying like a baby because I didn't want to leave! LOL We finally got to stay at Poly last time we went, and it was just a feeling to sit outside under and umbrella and read a book at 7am while everyone else slept in. No phone, no email, no bills. I have already warned my employees that unless someone has gone and bumped their head, is bleeding, or had to call police, no reason to call me.
I read somewhere once a story about a guy that got married late in life, and his bride was older too. First marriages for both. His boss INSISTED that there would be a way to get a hold of him on his honeymoon. So he left a message on his voicemail, "Hello, you have reached my voice mail, at this time I out of the office for 2 weeks. If you need to get a hold of me, here is the number to my new mother in law. She will be screening all calls to warrant it important enough to interrupt the honeymoon of her only daughter."
And no, no one called his MIL! LOL
