What items/services are you willing to pay top dollar for?

Recently discovered I am a Pampers Cruisers buyer. I tried a store brand on my son, and while it absorbed just find, it seemed like the moisture was sitting on his skin too much. Therefore you would need to change the diapers almost twice as often as Pampers, which basically makes the Pampers cheaper.

Also will spend more money on TP, ground turkey breast (not just plain ground turkey), cereal and a few other food items. Also, I think you get what you pay for with appliances, home repairs and vehicles.

I completely agree with your post. I love Pampers Cruisers the most, and the Huggies premium are a close second.

Furniture. Quality furniture lasts a lifetime. I don't buy the most expensive thing I can find but I do buy a quality piece.

Shoes. I have problem feet so I have to spend a bit on sneakers and properly fitting shoes. Trust me, it's not fun. I wish I could just pop on over to Payless everytime I need a pair of shoes to match an outfit.

Salon Services/Hair products. I've tried to go the cheaper route with these but I always end up hating it. I wish I didn't have to spend so much but if I don't, my hair looks like a rats nest.

Other than those, I am usually pretty easy to please. I don't need brand name purses. My clothes don't need to be top fashion. I sit at a desk all day. I really don't think my desk cares what brand name my clothes aren't.

My shampoo.

My soap.

My dishwashing detergant.

Ice Cream.

And Beef (Only Beef Tenderlion)

I only buy Charmin Toliet Paper.

And big fluffy towels

Hmm

Heinz ketchup for sure.

Fresh veggies (I buy maybe only corn out of season frozen) and trust me some times of year that is pricey! (But I do shop for whats in season and plan menu's according to that).

Vacations

toilet paper.

Med. $ Hair (not the most expensive salon and I don't go that often so I figured med.)
Sheets (300 is just fine not 600)
car repairs/parts it can be a store brand replacement part without my heart breaking

Low
Pedicures since I hate the idea of anyone else touching my feet I only do them myself.

We won't skimp on:

Dog food and petsitter costs for the "kids"
Peanut butter must be Peter Pan crunchy
T.P. must be Angel Soft
Running and walking shoes
Cars
Bicycles
Travel (for the most part we like to stay in nicer places)

We will skimp on:

Useless kitchen stuff like baggies, foil, etc. I buy whatever is on sale!
Household cleaning products (unless you're talking enzyme cleaner, that is Nature's Miracle only)
Laundry detergent (any that is on sale is fine with me)

This is a fun thread!

Shoes - I've worn "good" shoes since my 20s and don't have the foot problems that most women my age do.

I should probably mention shoes again because I have so many pair!

The other biggie for the past 20+ years is Hondas. Two Odysseys and one Accord later I'm still a happy camper. I love the fact that I can keep one for a decade, have NO repairs and still sell it for a fairly good amount.

When I was still working I would buy expensive purses (on sale hopefully) and good suits because of how I had to dress in a banking environment. Now that I'm retired I'm pretty happy in my Sam's and Walmart clothes.
