What items from "the Past" will you not part with?

I have a doll that my father's mother gave me when I was 5. I will never part with her. Doll dishes from childhood will never leave me either.

My son's table and chair set from his childhood. I will be so pleased to feed my grandchild at that table

i well remember (and am still sifting though) my mother's stuff. when she moved from a house to an apartment everything she could'nt part with landed in my garage (newly cleaned at the time, first time in 5 years we could have fit 2 cars into the 3 car garage). she kept every little note, card, APPLIANCE BOOK...i am now in the process of sifting and trying to batch photos to send off to cousins (i am so thankful that at one point about 10 years ago i convinced my mom to go through all of the photos and pull out those of my sibs and i-they are all in albums and were a christmas gift to each of my sibs).

one of my personal goals is to start weeding out all of the paperwork junk i have collected over the years-i've known too many people who get stuck going through piles because they are afraid mom or dad might have tossed in something important.
