I'm embarrased to ask, but can't find the answer in FAQs etc......what is BUMP? I see that on alot of post and just can't figure it out.

I hope I don't feel totally stupid when someone post a reply.

"Bump" is what many will type in a post when they want to bump the thread back to the top of the page.

ok, let me venture out on the stupid limb a little further....I still don't understand...

If you reply to a thread, then the whole thing moves to the top of the list. So, if I want more answers for a question I have asked, or if someone else asks a question I am interested, when I type "bump", it's as if there is a new answer, not just the word bump. Then it moves its way back up to the top.

Everytime someone answers a question, up it goes.
