the single best character interaction you've had and who was it with? Is there one single character that provides good interaction every time you go to DLP?

In my experience of the grand total of the two times i've been to DLP i've found the pluto has been the most fun :goodvibes

Weve had superb interaction from Cruella de Vil twice.
The first time was when we were watching the cinema parade in the studios- DD gave Cruella the thumbs down when she saw her so Cruella came over to her and playful hit her on the head with her cigarette holder and walked away with her nose in the air.

The 2nd time was even better. Again we were watching the parade and DD had a dalmation she had bought there. When she saw Cruella she passed it to me to hide but I deliberatly held it up a bit and Cruella saw it. She came over and tried to grab it saying "Give me the dog" DD was saying no and I said "No" so Cruella said "Yes give me the dog, you know I like dogs". She then called her baddy friends (Cant remember their names) over and said to them get me that dog. Again DD and I said no so she said "Ok I'll take the girl instead if you wont give me the dog"
DD loved it. Cruella was brilliant - she stayed in character the whole time

I've not seen much of the villians- Cruella sounds brill.

Mine...well Kyras has to be the ones she has had with Minnie.
At Cafe Mickey she spent so much time with Kyra and kept coming back to her to say hello and to dance with her, and even when Kyra cried when everyone was singing happy birthday to me, minnie came over to comfort her, it was so sweet.
She loves Minnie :)

Chip and Dale - my kids love them and DD always has a cuddly of some description with her. This one day she had Dale with her - Chip noticed and started to cry,Dale was laughing and chasing the kids. The whole thing went on forever with chasing and cuddles

It was one of those moments we enjoyed so much we forgot to take any piccies or video :headache:

I love the baddies - the Sheriff of Nottingham who's always trying to pinch stuff, and especially Prince John who snatches autograph books and throws them down, and whips unsuspecting adults with his cloak!
Mr Smee was funny in Cafe Mickey though, he got in a kind of food fight with one particular table (although he was the only one throwing!) and was ducking behind a screen, climbing on chairs and throwing sweets. I don't suppose the waiters found that quite so amusing as us though.

I think my favourites are the ones where we've come across characters in the park, they're far more spontaneous than the character meals.
Jamie landing in a heap at Maleficent's feet was certainly one of the funniest and she was utterly charming in an aloof and villainous sort of way.
Liam getting chased around Fantasyland by Mr. Penguin and we came across Brer Fox and Chip & Dale having a sword fight with long palm fronds on the way to Adventureland, naturally they got the boys to join in to.
Liam had one of those claw hands one time and Jafar came past in the Villains parade, snatched it off him and gave him his staff instead, and walked off Liam was distraught :rotfl:

I've just realised that all of these happened during our Halloween trip in October, 2004 and the park was very quiet then. So for quality interaction visit first week of October. :thumbsup2

Mine was this one:

Pluto was also around this morning right after park opening put he didn't hear me when I was asking them all to come on a picture with me. But Goofy, Mickey and Minnie did. :wizard: :cloud9:

But one of those moments that will stay with you forever :goodvibes

Im enjoying hearing everyones special moments- keep them coming:thumbsup2

This is going back about 13 years but I remember staying with family at Camp Davy Crockett ranch. We were just having a rest after a long morning/afternoon at the park, when who came by only Chip & Dale. The duo spent ages interacting with us and also started dancing with my Gran.

Our best one was when DS was 14 months old in Inventions. He had terrible eczema and was bandaged all over. Chip and Dale and Goofy noticed all his bandages poking out from his sleeves and paid him extra attention, and I tried to explain in limited French about his eczema. Then later when I was letting DS 'bum shuffle' (he has problems walking, and only learnt to walk when he was 2) in the corridor outside, the characters came out of a door, and Chip and Dale sat on the floor to play with him. It was so magical, and made our holiday. The head water in the restaurant also gave us a free bottle of champagne, which was lovely. DLP is such a special place. We have so many happy memories, but this is by far the best.

My best was outside Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost, my DS then 4 was sat sulking in the pushchair with the rain cover over him. A monkey, We think he is from Jungle Book, saw him and starting playing with him flicking up the rain cover. He managed to get DS laughing and I videoed most of it. We love rewatching it

Because we go in January it is always quiet and its almost as if the characters are bored so spend time with you so I love them all!!:rotfl:

Cruella was really fun though, my neice had a princess autograph book and Cruella said to her 'you have to watch out for those princesses, one of them sleeps with 7 little men'!!:scared1: and she took my daughters Tigger autograph book and said 'mmmmm yes he'd make a nice coat':rotfl:

Woody took my nephews hand and went a walk round the studios with him in Jan 06..actually can't remember it could have been Jesse!!:rotfl:

Its the wee things like that that makes it magic!:) Although its got to be said I don't think my neice had a clue what Cruella was on about!;)

Ohhh yeah and does anyone else find those Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum characters a tad annoying? If they aren't chasing you they are trying to tie the tassles of your hat...I mean thats a choking hazard!!hahaha!!!

:rotfl: poppyolivia please dont write things like this when i am trying to drink my cup of tea:coffee: - i nearly chocked!!! how funny is that i wish i'd been there

We came back from DLRP last night and I would say that WOODY was the most interactive with my daughter.
When she went over for his autograph, he signed her book, then hid her pen!

She is 7, but quite shy, so I had to retrieve the pen from his holster while he was running about trying to get away from me. She thought it was hilarious.

Both he and JESSIE were taking their times with the children that were around them. They signed autographs and posed for pictures, but also, seemed to know which child was next. ( Which makes a big difference )

I'd thoroughly recommend going to Woodys Roundup to meet and greet.

At DLP: Chip and Dale

At WDW: Minnie Mouse at her character breakfast and Goofy, who played for more than 15 minutes with, while there was this huge line waiting to meet him. I think he had a crush on me  because he fainted when I gave him a kiss! ;)

I think for us it was when tigger came out of a side entrance and no one was around and we managed to get a lovely picture

and also after the character express, when goofy was playing a little with Ds

it wasn't much, but it was still special, this time i will remember to ask the characters questions like if we see mickey ask how minnie is, or if we see pluto ask how mickey is and so on, i never thought of itbefore until reading that someone here does it and thought what a great idea to get a bit more out of them.
can't wait to go!

@ cafe mickey last July

Pluto was very playful and funny :)

thats him in my avatar making faces / playing with my son ,from the balcony

My favourites change every visit :rotfl: !

The most recent ones were in the pouring rain, near Pizzaria Bella Notte, when the characters came off Casey Jnr and spent ages with the children who'd braved the rain to meet them. Rafiki was trading autographs for kisses, Prince John glared at me and stamped his foot for me suggesting to him his feet were going to be soaking wet (well he has no shoes on, does he :lmao: ?) Mr Smee scratched his head and scanned the skyline when we asked him "where is Tinkerbell?" and my absolute fave - Friar Tuck grabbing my girls and a couple of others to play "Ring a Rosie" with, for ages.

That visit too, the Sherrif of Nottingham at the Lucky Nugget lunch was brilliant - purloining lunches, pens, anything he could get his mitts on, and then demanding a ransom to get the items back!

Ah happy happy memories  :wizard:

Elaine

My most recent one was on our last day at Lucky Nugget ~ I was choosing some desserts when Minnie came up from behind and poured yoghurt dressing over them all. :cloud9:

On our previous trip we were at Inventions and Donald got "jealous" of the attention Chip and Dale were paying to my youngest DD and kidnapped her! :rotfl:

Another time one of my DDs made a pen mark on Pinocchio's white glove when she handed him her pen for an autograph. He got very "cross" and proceeded to pay her back by marking her arm several times! :rotfl2:

The CMs can give you great experiences too. Once, one of my DDs was carrying a huge Mickey round and a CM on BTM took him off her and tied him to the engine! :rotfl2:
