What is your typical wait time to get into your grocery store?

I am going grocery shopping only once a week now. It’s hard with a big family and we eat a lot.

The last 2 weeks my wait time has been 1 hour to get in and another 45 minutes to pay due to strict distancing. Costco is so bad, someone made an app so you can check the wait time for the 2 Costco in our city. The average wait is 2+ hours.

What about your city?

Walk in grocery store.
I go to Costco during senior hour and it was 20 minutes last time, but they were only letting 25 in at a time

I haven't been since Friday, but no wait. The only limit (other than maintain 6' separation) is only one person per household is supposed to be in the store.

So far, no wait. I try to go during off-times, like mid-morning, mid-week, so maybe that helps?

Haven't been to Costco since the limitations have been put in place about number of patrons in the store (two weeks ago), but planning on a trip in a day or two, so we'll see.

I’ve yet to see a line up but then again since March 12 I’ve only been to our neighbourhood grocery store and one specific WalMart. My bigger problem is that I go on my way home from work so as not to make any extra trips out. By that time of day the shelves are often quite picked over.

Zero. We have a "newish" Costco about 30 minutes from us that still hasn't been "discovered." DH walked right in. So few people in the store that they could have maintained 100 foot distancing. 3 checkout stands with NO ONE in line when he was ready to check out. I'm not telling anyone about it. LOL. And, everything in stock. So odd. Other Costco stores in my area have lines even during so-called "senior" hours.

H-E-B was limiting people back when this all started and you always saw lines. Walmart never had that. It looks like they may have a “Black Friday” line before the store opens, but when I’ve gone there’s been someone counting but no waits. Now Joanns, that place is something else. I needed more ribbon to make masks and did a curbside order. There was a massive line and people in it said they’d been waiting an hour before opening and 2 hours since (so 3 hours total).

No wait, and honestly it feels the same busy in the store based on the time of day. I haven't been to Costco in a couple weeks so no idea about them.

No wait time to get into a "regular" grocery store local to my house. I've only been down to Costco three times in the last month and a half. The lines there are ridiculous. The first two times I just left. The last time I was there in the afternoon and I waited about 20 min to get in. Haven't been back since.

The market I shop at limits capacity and has a line, but i've not yet spent more than 10 minutes in it. They do a fantastic job keeping people moving.

I haven't had to wait, walk right in.

My daughter has had a 15-20 minute wait to get into Costco.

I haven't been brave enough to go to Costco in person, last week I did an Instacart order with them.
They showed things like disinfectant wipes and lysol available, of course I got neither, but we got some snack bars that we were out of.

No wait. We go at 6 am when they open on Sunday mornings. If they don't have something we need we hit Walmart at 7 am when they open, no wait there either. Pick up coffee on the way home, home by 730 am with a week's worth of groceries. And since we normally get up at 2 am during the week for work, we are still sleeping in on Sunday even though we get up at 5 am

I’m hoping going before 7 am on Saturday will make is so there are little or no lines. Haven’t been in 3 weeks. Could get by for another week but I’m running out of certain items that I apparently use way more than I thought.

My daughter went to Walmart for cat food last week and she said she waited 10 minutes or so.
