All of the towns you mentioned are nice areas. Columbia is the largest with more modern areas and a nice town square area. Lewisburg is a smaller version and Mt Pleasant would be the smallest of the three. Living in the Northwest corner of Alabama I’m familiar with this area. There’s so many wonderful weekend or day trips to explore. You’re also near Nashville with so much to see. 4 to 5 hours from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and Smokey Mts. You’re also 6 to 7 hrs from the beach and of course a days drive from Disney if you decide not to fly. Have fun looking and deciding. The two that have made it to my list to check out in person are Lewisburg and Mount Pleasant, but I also want to just sort of drive around the area and explore because it can be easy to miss the best places based on internet research alone, you know? I've got a bit more experience with TN than AL, because my son's best friend moved to Dickson when they were in middle school and I spent a lot of time down there so they could get together, but I never really ventured to the southern part of the Nashville area or into Middle TN. I do love Nashville proper, though, so being an hour or so from the city would be kind of awesome. And the Disney/travel addict in me really likes the idea of living near a Southwest hub!
I love HHI!. My parents have a house in Bluffton, so we have spent a lot of time on HH. Hope you get to go!
Wishing you good luck with your plans! Hopefully, they will work out!I'm playing it by ear.
Booked a glamping trip on Fire Island to take place late in the summer.
Maybe it'll happen, maybe it won't.
Have an offer to spend time at someone's house upstate. The husband just got out of the hospital so no idea if that's happening either.
Fingers crossed they let our zoos open soon!!!! We usually go a couple of times during the summer. I cant imagine a summer without the local zoos!!!Our zoo opened to members only this week. It was fantastic! You had to make a reservation, and time slots were limited. Everyone had to walk along the same 4-mile path in one direction. Everyone did a great job keeping distance, and even though masks weren’t required, we weren’t the only ones wearing them. Hand sanitizing stations were plentiful. Of course, the playgrounds/rides/indoor exhibits were closed. But the whole thing felt very safe. Our children’s museum opens next month under the same restrictions, but masks are required.

In my area, June thru Aug/Labor Day means festivals, festivals and more festivals. Most are cancelled with a limited few postponed.
I think its going to be a Staycation Vacation every weekend.
