What do you tend to buy most often when you're out shopping?

Purses? Shoes? Chocolate? What????

For me, it's magazines. I hadn't gone shopping, to just browse around, in months. I ended up with $28 in magazines. I just can't resist them. They are my ultimate weakness.

Same here. I just love magazines. I was just thinking last week that they are my guilty pleasure. They aren't cheap either. I've tried subscribing to save money, but I hate it. Especially when a magazine hits the store shelves before I get it in my mailbox. That happens all to frequently.

My other expenditure is books. I buy too many. I love them but they seem like such a waste because no one ever wants to read them so I have no one to pass them on to and no one to exchange with.

I just bought 2 Coach purses at the outlet yesterday because I couldn't make up my mind on one or the other. I have a closet full of Coach, Dooney & Bourke, and Brighton, along with some no names. I can only carry one purse at a time, yet I am always on the look out for more. I bought two genuine Coach bags from Goodwill a couple of weeks ago, and I haven't even used them yet.

Yes, I would say I have a problem.:goodvibes

My defense-I don't clothes or shoes shop, and purses always fit, even on fat days.

I do like books. :thumbsup2

I like other things as well but with price tags over 100 usually I have to plan on those purchases.

If I could I would buy BOOTS and more BOOTS. I have been looking however I am waiting for them to go on sale.

I have lost some weight recently, so I can actually get into regular sized clothes. I don't really shop in the plus size section anymore. So, I LOVE shopping for clothes now. I used to absolutely loathe clothes shopping. So, now, I guess you can say I am making up for years of disappointment.

Also, clipping coupons and going grocery shopping is actually therapeutic for me.

:rotfl:

This is my philosophy too! :thumbsup2

DH does NOT want another bag coming into this house. But I have a weakness. I do try to change purses frequently to justify them all, but then I start losing things. (That drives DH nuts too.)

ETA: just after typing this I had to look in 7 or 8 bags for something that turned up in DH's wallet. Men's wallets - that needs to be a separate thread. :headache:

I could have written this post.

Books. I can't walk past a book store without something just calling out to me. And heaven help us if I have time to browse! :lmao:

DH doesn't mind because I am not much of a shopper for other items. Books are my one weakness.

I am a MAJOR magazine junkie. Spend wayyyyyyy too much on them.

This is easy.

Shoes. I love shoes, always have. What's worse is that the older I get, the more my feet need good shoes, so these days, it's rare that I pay less than $100 for a pair.

Lots of magazine junkies here!

Each month I buy:

Family Circle
Oprah
Cooking Light
More
Good Housekeeping
Prevention
Real Simple
Health
Fitness

I subscribe to:
Rachael Ray
Rolling Stone
Seventeen (for my DD)

Sometimes I buy:
Woman's Day
Eating Well
Self
Shape

Books are my weakness too.:thumbsup2

My DH says I should belong to the Book of the Day club. I am lucky to get out of Barnes and Noble for under 100.00 and I can't seem to get out of Sams without purchasing a book or two.

Book of the Day club sounds like me.....my roommate asked me one day exactly how fast I read because he was coming home and seeing a book in the trash can almost every day (I don't reread romance novels and I don't have anyone to trade with or give them to.)

I love magazines and books! I could spend hours and hours in a books store or library. I lose all sense of time. It's been hard to part with those magazines and books once they are bought. Very hard for me to do. But I don't like the clutter! I am tackling it though. I've been slowly donating my magazines, books, VHS, and DVDs to the library.

For the most part, now I get my fix for both magazines and books at the library.

Overall, I'm a coat person. I love to have a choice of coats. I need to donate some that I don't wear anymore. I also have started loving shoes. I like comfy, cute shoes.

Watches, more and more watches ! I also like shoes but rarely find ones that I really like. I found two pair last week. Went in for some boots and came out with two pair of heels, no boots. The last watch that I wanted to buy was on clearance for $2700.00. yes the price is right and it was 80% off. Those are my true fetishes. I do buy smaller cheaper watches and wear every one that I own.

Hot sauces. My roommates and I average around 20 different varieties in our house at any given time.

Christmas decorations and anything Disney :lovestruc

If it's a Disney Christmas decoration then I am really in trouble :lmao:

Thankfully Christmas items are usually only in stores for 3 months or so and we don't have a Disney store nearby anymore, so I am pretty safe on any average shopping trip.

Office Supplies! I love the folders and binders and portfolios. Paper clip holders, tape dispensers, pens, pencils, markers, files, and on and on and on.

Yeah, I know. I'm weird.:rolleyes1

-Beach towels, I live in NY where you need them for all of 3 months. I think I have one for every day of the summer.

-Christmas ornaments and decorations, especially when they are on sale.

-Clothes mostly from Kohl's. Those clearance racks are a killer! :sad2:
