I don't really put face to face in the same category because I certainly don't email a friend while she is sitting across from me at a restaurant. For getting in touch with people that are not in close proximity, see above. In general, I would rather have friends over for coffee or drinks and lounge around and chat.

I hate talking on the phone-loved it before my hearing went. Now it is more of a chore then anything.

Now I am going to call you all the time...HAHA..

I prefer email, texting, facebook..

Bawhahahhaha. I don't mind talking to you. At least you don't harp on things that happened 50yrs ago. Although you aren't that old. :rotfl:

I am very long winded and my texts are L-o-n-g :)

I voted for Facebook. It's just easier to have contact with most of my friends in one place. After that it would be texting, I really don't like talking on the phone that much.

I picked "other". I prefer smoke signals, as it doesn't tie me to any calling plan and I have unlimited minutes of it.

Well, I'd rather spend time with my family and friends but since that is not always possible I voted for texting. If it's not family and friends, then I want it to be email.

I abhor talking on the phone. And I hated it before emailing and texting, so you can't blame it on that!

My first choice would be e-mail. Then Facebook or texting. Absolutely hate, hate, hate talking on the phone. I'd rip it out of the wall if I could.

Face to face. Especially at work. When I need something from someone, or need to give someone something, it's actually much faster. E-mail is a waste of time, I get about 400 e-mails over the course of a day, so about every 90 minutes I check it.

I chose other because my top preference is instant message. This is closely followed by Facebook and texting. Not necessarily in that order. Bottom line is that I am a girl of the written word. I am not a chatty person and tend to limit my calls to a few people if I can help it. Even when I have something to say I procrastinate getting on the phone because then I tend to get sucked into whole conversations when I am oftentimes limited for time or just not in the mood. Also, I tend to have the most time early in the morning or late at night so it is inappropriate to pick up the phone when I am available. If somebody is on-line I assume they are available to chat and I will IM with them.

The invention of email was Heaven sent to me. I LOATHE talking on the phone with all but two people so email makes communication so much easier.

I switch between e-mail and texting. I'll talk on the phone to someone if it's a back and forth sort of thing.

I use all forms, I think the one I use the least of is email because it's mainly to people I don't see often, or through school, business or other relations.

I like to send a quick text to everyone on Christmas, or New Years. And I'll call and/or write the closer friends and family.

I love writing letters, the envelope and stamp kind. I probably send off about 20 each month, more around the holidays.

Talking on the phone is for more serious conversations.

Facebook is for the people I don't see often.

I chose Chat/Skype mainly for Skype because it's what I'm on the most. It's like if the phone and face-to-face had a baby.

I don't like to talk on the phone like alot of you so I prefer email and I don't do facebook. The only people who I don't mind being on the phone with are my children and my mom - her sometimes LOL I prefer to text my DH, quick and get to the point, less arguing that way :lmao:
