What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

$6500 - it was paid back within 6 months. It was borrowed from me.

A family member borrowed $1,000 a few months ago to fix his car. He had a habit of borrowing money from everyone in the family, and he never repaid them. We gave him the money knowing he’d never repay us, but we wanted him to be able to fix his car. He very recently passed away, and when he did the family found $40,000 in cash stashed away in his house. Turns out he was awarded a court settlement that he told no one about two years ago. So even though he had all that money stashed away he still continued to borrow money from everyone he knew. Sad that he’s gone but I gotta say that kind of pissed me off that he’s been asking to “borrow” money when he has $40,000 untouched in his house.

I've never borrowed money from or lent money to family or friends. I don't need that kind of drama in my life.

A house with not one, but two smokers who smoke in the house right by the air vent that goes directly to my room. Unfortunately, that's my reality. I burn scented candles day and night to try and overpower the stench.

maybe an air purifier could help?

Not failed by me, but by a philosophical change in direction made by mental health organizations. I owned and operated a Residential care home that housed, feed and looked after people with mental and/or physical challenges. After 14 years of what I considered hard work taking care of people, some of which where difficult, the outside sources for our clients decided that people should be placed in apartments independently and be trained to do on their own.

I'm not against that but it killed my business because they forgot one minor detail, they only placed those that were marginally in need of assistance and decided to leave the difficult with us. They failed to do the math that required me to be staffed 24/7/365 and did not leave me enough residents to pay the bills. I had to close down and take my lumps, but I was not overly destroyed, I just moved on to other things. To be honest part of me was burnt out emotionally anyway so It was probably a good thing.

Shoes and Disney world/resort/ride scented candles. My favorite is my PotC one. It smells just like the ride. I had a friend over recently and when she walked past my foyer table where I keep it she said “it really smells like potc in here!” Lol.

My husband has bicycles. They take up a LOT of room >:( and we live in a small rowhome - no garage, no shed, no backyard... I think we currently have 9? (2 for me and the kids each, 3 for him, plus some more at his mom's house) I could also post this comment on the "What Trivial Thing Does Your Spouse/SO Do Wrong?" thread. He finds old/used ones that have been discarded and brings them home to fix them up - I have no problem with that part of his hobby! It's when he "thinks" we have room for one more that we have a problem.
