What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

When my dad had a massive heart attack and died in front of my mom and I when I was 10. He was only 48.

I never "didn't do well" in school, at least not until high school where I didn't exactly put a great effort into every class. They were always very positive about everything I did - it wouldn't have occurred to them to punish me for the bad grades although maybe if they had I would have tried a little harder. :rolleyes1

Ugly ill fitting orange high school band uniform. Also hideous were jr high PE uniforms. Ugly green thing. Both of these are examples of mid to late 70"s scary school uniforms!! :scared1:

It goes for almost anything where there's a firefight. Rarely do automatic weapons jam, and obviously they shoot a lot more than the capacity of a particular firearm. It's really about movies, but once I saw a commentary by the director about a scene he filmed in Robocop with automatic weapons. He said it took a whole lot of takes before he could even a small segment (to splice into a larger scene) without a jam. I just saw Collateral again, and there's one scene where I count Vincent getting off 20 shots without reloading.

as for size of the apartment, I think better. But I dislike the heat, and they have the sun blaring on their house most of the day so I can imagine it gets like a sauna in there on slightly warmer days.

So I'm glad I live where I live rn.

I’ve only gone to the bar area of a restaurant if I’m waiting on a table for dinner. I don’t think I’ve just hung out at a bar in many many years.

It’s been about 10 years... I don’t drink alcohol but Bars and swizzle sticks fascinate me! The Cheesecake Factory has a Bar design that highlights all the Bottles sparkling in the window ( with outdoor covered dining area to protect from sun).I love the label designs and names...
Anyway I really miss the scary dive bar in Kansas City Board of Trade hangout when commodity markets closed....the Peanut had the best chili dogs And Triple BLT’s
Does the a POP Century Petals Poolside Bar count? And the Grand Floridian has great Bar connected to the quiet pool. Obviouslymy friends drink... and I love “Swizzle” Bar in the Cabana Bay Beach Resort lobby. Hope it has re-opened.
How to define a true Bar? There should be more Bar design t-shirts !

10 years or more.
We sit in the bar area at restaurants like Red Robin or Chili’s, but I don’t consider that going to a bar. We like sitting in there because most of the time it’s less crowded, no kids (it’s a huge pet peeve of mine when people allow their kids to be unruly in restaurants) and many times quieter.

Worse - it’s a retention area - I would need a tent - LOL!

Worse. It's bigger than our house but hasn't been updated since it was built in 1993. We just sold our house and got way more than we thought we would. It's fully updated and in great shape.

Same age. Different floor plan. 1700 square feet versus my 2,010 square feet. Both residents are smokers so that would be an issue and are the original owners. They were going to buy our house but decided on that one instead So a step down.

I used to work at Friendly's. This thing was 115% polyester. I still have my name badge!

This is gorgeous compared to the brown, 195% polyester uniform that I had to wear in a restaurant in which I worked for 4 days.

It wasn't so much the embarrassingly UGLY uniform. The restaurant was the dirtiest place I'd ever seen. I know of garages that are cleaner than that place was.

How do you serve a salad? Stick your dirty hand into the salad bin and put the lettuce in the bowl. :crazy2: And that wasn't the worst of it.

When I went in to pick up my one and only check, there was a note on it that I had to return the uniform before they could release it to me. Like I would think to keep such a hideous thing!

When I was in the Navy our uniforms were made out of this double knit polyester called Certified Navy Twill. (May still be, I don't know.) If you were stationed in a tropical climate, like I was, it was like being wrapped in Saran Wrap--0 breathability.

And while the all white summer white and dress white unis look nice, good luck keeping them clean.

It was 1994. My DH and I were at a conference at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. The 49ers were having their Super Bowl ring ceremony there that same weekend, though, alas, I didn't get to see Steve Young in person. Boyz II Men were their entertainment. We saw them, surrounded by a group of teenaged girls.

We left the 5-star opulence for something that we could afford. When we pulled into the parking lot, our rental car was the nicest one in the lot. We checked in and carried our bags to the 2nd floor of the motel, opened the door and the smell hit us first. We turned on the light and saw the filth. We discussed what to do. Do we leave and call our credit card company for the refund, or do we check out and demand our money back?

I went into the office and told the woman that we couldn't stay there in that filth and I wanted our money back. We hadn't been gone from her desk for 5-minutes and she asked if we had used the beds. :rolleyes2 I told her that if we wanted to be that quick about it, we'd have stayed in the car.

She refunded our money and we found another roadside motel and made them show us the room before we checked in just to be sure that it was clean. Luckily, we spent the next night with a friend in Fort Collins.

8 years of Catholic grammar school -- grey and blue plaid, with white knee socks. I haven't owned anything plaid in blue and grey since!

Yes, Battlefield Campground in Vicksburg, MS. Trip back from WDW, wanted to see some of the civil war things there, campground looked nice looking on google, after we got there and paid for 2 nights, what a dump, half the cable tv wire was gone from people stealing it for the copper, got bit by fire ants hooking up my water to the camper, stayed one night, (I would have felt better if I had brought my 9mm with me) checked out the battlefield next door and told DW, let's go, She couldn't get things packed fast enough to get out of there.

A smock with puffed shoulders , just awful. I was a new hire at a grocery chain new to our town and the store I had to travel to for training wore the smocks.
Thankfully, when our brand new store opened we were all given polo shirts which was definitely more in fashion.
