What is your MUST DO at DL?

hehe I love churros. I was going to say, I always buy a churro and stand in line for the haunted mansion if I dont have a fast pass. Its just a tradition I do thats kinda fun.

But for you the dark rides would be good, and going to the animation theature in DCA is a MUST MUST MUST!!!! Catching the afternoon parade and the fireworks are a must.

If you do make it over to DCA ride Monster's Inc. I love that ride, they need it at WDW and I was hopeful that was what would replace the Timekeeper at MK but no such luck! Also at DCA, California Screamin is a very fun coaster. Pretty much everything else at DCA either has counterparts at WDW or is not that great. I do agree however, that Disneyland is the real priority so definitely ride POTC, Indiana Jones, the Matterhorn, Space Mountain (DL's is so much better and totally different). I also second doing some of the things in Fantasyland, Alice and the Storybookland Canal boats in particular, they are classic and unique Disneyland attractions. You will have a great time, even 10 hours is enough to at least get a feel for what Disneyland has to offer!

I love to shop back in New Orleans Square. They have some very nice shops, that whole area is wonderful and I miss it at WDW. I also enjoy the China Closet and the Magic Shop on Main Street. And last but not least, I prefer the World of Disney Store in Disneyland's DTD over the WDW one.

i didnt know about the animation theatre until i saw a commercial of it. it was awesome! Talk with Crush was fun. I loved it!

I'll mention a couple of things missed so far

Check out the Snow White & 7 Dwarves statues to the right of the castle

I'm not sure when you're visiting, but if the new Nemo submarine ride in open, that should be your first thing ride. From there to Small World, then Matterhorn, Peter Pan and Mr Toad. After that take the back route to Haunted Mansion, POTC (get a fast pass for Indiana Jones) and Jungle Cruise before grabbing a Dole Whip and seeing the Tiki Birds (you can take the DW inside). From there Buzz and Autopia, Now back for a Corn Dog and a quiet stroll down Main Street to the Lincoln Theater for the 50th Anniversary Film (w/ Steve Martin & Donald). By now your FP should be good, get on the train and ride it all the way around and then to New Orleans Square (say hi to the dinosaurs for me) and head over the IJ.

At this point it will depend how much energy and time you have left. If you decide to try DCA, Monsters Inc, Animation & Alladin are must see's. I'd include Soarin' but you mentioned skipping the thrill rides.

Whatever you do, have fun and enjoy your visit.

Absolutely Mr. Toad! It's such a classic...also Alice in Wonderland and the Storybook Canal Boats. I love Fantasyland in DL so much more than WDW because it's so different. Also, IASW because it's the original as well and is so much better than at WDW! No comparison.

Enjoy your trip whatever you do!
