My DS8 has an eye disorder and he can not see in 3D. He's failed every 3D test the eye doctor has given him in the last 8 years.
The first year we went to WDW we avoided all the 3D shows.
The second time we decided to go see Philharmagic because we took our neice and we knew she would enjoy it.... we told our son to put on the 3D glasses so the screen wouldn't be too blurry.
The first time he reached up for something coming out of the screen.... I started screaming for my husband who was sitting a couple seats down from me. " He can see! He can see!" I cried during the entire show..... my eyes were glued to my son who couldn't believe what he was seeing.
My son's doctor says it was different technology using the polarized lenses that allowed my son to see in 3D...... my son says it was Disney Magic. I have to agree with him.
Yep. That one's a winner.
I went back the next day and Captain Hook remembered me and actually came through the line to grab me, and to this day the same Peter Pan always has a retort for me if he sees me...lol! It was so much fun.
I love that!! We had breakfast at CRT on our first day and went to P&PP several days later and Snow White remembered DS and made a huuuuge deal about him being the brave knight who had won her heart in the castle. The picture is my avatar.
Well, mine is a toss-up. We absolutely had to see Playhouse Disney, Live On Stage! because DS loveslovesloves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Well, I sat on the floor with him and DNiece. He was sitting nice and still until the MMC theme started, and he was absolutely vibrating!! At one point, he just looked at me and gave me the biggest grin! And I caught it on tape!!
If you're interested, it's about 2:10 or so into the video. The show was great, and I loved watching the kids dance around and they even got high-fived by the host, but that smile made me melt.
The second would be during our AK day. It was hot. Really hot. We got in like for FOTLK, DS's new obsession (he found my Lion King movie from when I was in elementary school, and it hasn't left his VCR since!). Well, he fell asleep just before we were let into the theatre.

I knew he was exhausted, but I still tried to wake him so he wouldn't miss it. Nada. I was holding him upright, and he was fast asleep. I gave up and cradled him like a little infant (he was a week shy of 3, so I never get to do that!!) for most of the show. Our song is Circle of Life. I sing it to him at bedtime, and when they began singing it, I looked down at my little guy and the tears started falling.

He finally woke up for the last two songs, but missing this show is, honestly, one of the reasons we're going back so soon.
Oh, and my niece was soooo proud of herself for riding Space Mountain. She wasn't quite sure of what it was when we got on, and by then it was too late, but she was a trooper. She didn't ride any of the other big rides, but she bragged about that for weeks.
GREAT THREAD!!
