What is your limit?

What is the longest you will tolerate standing in line for an attraction? I see stories of people waiting for three hours for a ride and I don't get it! Nothing is THAT fun, is it?

I think if it were a major attraction that I had never been on before and this was my only day to see it, I might wait 45min, maybe an hour. Otherwise, about a half hour is my limit. This is why I don't travel in the summer anymore!

What about you? How long will you wait?

Honestly? About 15 minutes. If it's something I REALLY wanna do ... maybe ... maybe 20. Never, ever more. I will fast pass it or skip it and come back later.

7 minutes is the longest I've waited for a non-special event attraction. I've never had to wait any longer because I know when to go to each attraction.

The longest we wait is 30 minutes although we did wait 60 for Soarin' because we just had to do it!

We don't wait long, maybe 20 minutes at the most. If we see its going to be a long wait, we move on. Too much to see and do then standing in a line waiting for one thing. We usually stay 8-12 days and I'm sure we'll be back around to try later. Got to love those fast passes, we grab one and return.

7 minutes is the longest I've waited for a non-special event attraction. I've never had to wait any longer because I know when to go to each attraction.

Really? Can you teach me your special powers??? We won't stand in line long either because we are normally there for a week and we come back every year. But next time we are going with some newbies and i would love to learn how you do it? Do you just avoid the summer altogether? Unfortunately that is the only time we all can go because my mother is a teacher at a private school and cannot get the time off.

We will rarely wait in line for anything over 20 minutes posted. If it;s something we HAVE to do NOW, we MIGHT wait 30 minutes...no more.

I won't wait very long. Longest was about 25 minutes and that was for a picture with the Mouse.
My sister waited 5 hours to ride Splash Mountain at Disneyland when it first opened. I waited 5 minutes a few months ago. I think she was nuts!
Use Ridemax and you will not have long waits at all.

Typically 15-20 minutes is the longest and that is rare. However, back in April we waited 55 minutes (sign said 70, thank goodness it was 15 min. less) for Expedition Everest. It was our first day at WDW that trip and we all wanted to ride EE for the first time. Since we had ADR's we wanted to make and fastpasses were gone for this ride we toughed it out. The anticipation of a new ride and it being our first day (still had some energy in us) made the wait not too bad. After that we got to AK early and generally rode EE four to five times in a row with a less than ten minute wait each time.

It depends on the attraction. My first time to MK, my sister and I waited over 2 hours for Splash Mountain.

We've waited in line for Peter Pan for about 45 minutes.

My next trip, I'm not waiting any longer than 20 minutes...

Usually not more than 30 minutes. the longest line I ever waited on was the first year the splash mountain opened. we waited 75 minutes. It was about a month after the ride opened. The line kept going, and going, and going.......................................... never again. no more than 20 minutes.

I really don't care to wait but if I can do fp and it's a reasonable time then I'll get it but I've waited in long lines before fp was invented and will continue to wait. You never know who you'll meet in line and that. It's a new adventure.

The longest we will wait is about 20 minutes or less (or until the next showing). Generally 10-15 is more our speed, but then we go early December. Also, we have been quite a few times, so if a line is too long, we just skip the attraction and figure we will either come back to it or see it on the next trip.

The joys of being a FL resident (and passholder). Not to mention Fast Pass If the sign says more than 20 minutes, we don't get in it.

Our secret? We get to the park at opening. We pull a fastpass immediately for whatever the "popular" ride is that we want to go on. We go against the general flow of traffic, and criss cross the parks a lot (we average about 12-15 miles a day at Disney). If the lines too long, we'll get a fastpass when our window opens up (often have to backtrack to get that, but it's okay). And if we don't get to that attraction this trip, it's first on our list for the next trip.

During those peak times (usually mid day) we'll do the "non-popular" attractions. At EPCOT, we'll go through Innoventions, wander World Showcase, do Ellens Energy Adventure, etc. At MGM, we'll go into the Animation Studio, Star Tours, Backlot Tour, etc. Magic Kingdom, we'll do COP, TTA, Small World, Tiki Room, etc. At Animal Kingdom, once the lines build, we leave

I have only been to MK twice (and DTD) but that is the extent of my WDW experience. Before joining this community I would have said I would wait up to 90minutes! We were there the day after Easter and waited forever for BTMRR. It was with my DBF's parents and we didn't get there until almost noon so the FP's were all gone.

With my first full trip to WDW coming up in January(the first week) I plan to use all of the advice I have gathered here(yay!) to limit all waits to under an hour. Even waiting 40minutes would seem short compared to my experience.

We won't get in a line that has a posted wait of more than 20 minutes. And if the wait time is 20 minutes or less but the line isn't moving then we will sometimes get out of the line. That happened last week at Haunted Mansion. The wait was posted 10 minutes, but it was a substantial line and it didn't move while we were standing there, so that 10 minute wait was inaccurate. We came back later and got right in.

I'd say 30-40 min depending on my mood. I know I'll be back in a few months and can catch the next time and have already been on it countless times.
I can see waiting for a long time to ride something if you are not a frequent visitor...like, this is the only trip your son will have as a child and you really want to take him on Space Mt or something...oh, how sad!

I probably will not wait in line more than 20 minutes if it's posted. I know from experience looking at the length of the line, how long approximately it will be. I think that the way my family plans out our route, we don't really have to wait in many lines. Since our children are young, we are firtunate to be able to go at slower times. I am sure that we will not be pulling them out of school as they get older. When I was younger I rememeber waiting in lines for over an hour to go on Splash Moutain, Space Moutnain and BTMR. I really can't imagine doing that anymore.
