What is your LEAST favorite restaurant at WDW

Biergarten- This is more of a personal preference kind of thing. I liked the Leek soup, pretzel rolls and some of the salads. Otherwise, I ate nothing because I don't eat sausage and most of the things on the buffet didn't appeal to me. Their desserts were lacking also, especially compared to most places in Disney who have awesome desserts.

Le Cellier- so much sodium I felt like I needed a visit to the Dr's office just to check my blood pressure. Their kitched needs to lay off the salt!!!

Cape May Cafe- Not bad really, but for the price I wouldn't go again. I get a lot of good seafood being from New England. Also... their "New England clam chowder" is an imposter!!! Nothing like what we have here, which is my favorite  Desserts were wonderful however.

Ya LeCellier is the pits, way to much of nothing special.

'Ohana - our first visit we liked it, but after that it started going downhill...until our last visit a few years ago. We were given a horrible table right next to the coconut races (no kids in our party) when there were plenty of other tables open; we asked to move and were treated like we were being the *most* demanding guests *ever* for being a party of four adults who didn't want yelling children chasing coconuts bumping into our chairs the whole meal! The food that trip was dry and un-delicious, and it put the last nail in 'Ohana's coffin for us.

Sci Fi - only been here once, but the food was completely unimpressive, and the movie loop was way too short. Also, there was some issue with seating, as they split our party up and it caused a stink w/ one of the members of our group. That wasn't really the restaurant's fault, per se, but it sort of soured us on the whole experience.

I do notice that with the exception of one mention of Narcoossee's (which I see as an odd blip on the radar) and HBD, most of the signatures have been spared from this list. Well...I guess Le Cellier is a signature now. We haven't enjoyed Le Cellier in a while, and we made a lunch ADR there for our next trip. We might be crazy.

What a shame like it was said before Disney used to have no one complain.
The fast food service at Japan and china miss.

1. Chefs de France--awful meal & even worse service! Our waiter was terrible!

2. San Angel--LOVE Mexican but not this time :(

 I will admit I like it. It has been a while since I went however. I got the Chicken Curry which I really liked and another time I got an Asian salad. I thought both were really good for a counter service, and I like the different choices. I don't know what is currently on their menu. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it, but I would get both again if I was in that area of DHS when we got hungry! To each their own, I guess! :)

Good to know that somebody's gotten good food there. :flower3:

I really DID mean I wanted to know if some people liked it. Mostly because if everyone had food like mine, I can't believe that Disney wouldn't shut the place down or put new management in charge or something.

Cheers!

Chefs de France is the only place that was really an overall bad experience; 2 hours to eat lunch and didn't even get to see Remy. The food was meh. Our server was new, so we gave her the benefit of the doubt, but it took forever to get a refill, the next course, and finally the check. Not sure if we'll try it again when we know there are so many other places we love there.

So, for our upcoming trip in February we decided to try some new places and they seem to be quite (un)popular on this thread. San Angel, H&V, and The Wave.

Now I am wondering if I should cancel The Wave and H&V and use those TS credits on the California Grill for Valentine's Day. Hmmmm.

I have to ask were you looking to get Mexican food or Tex Mex food?

I think a lot of people expect Tex Mex and aren't familiar with true Mexican food.

My least favorite is Sci-fi Dine In. I hated eating in the dark! My daughter was terrified of the movie and my son felt nauseous because we were seated in the front seat of the first car (too close to the screen).

OrangeCat04, very surprised about your comment on the clam chowder at Cape Mays being an imposter. We have been to Maine several times and have never had good clam chowder - Cape Mays is IT for us. We are from LA (the state) so are used to good seafood and we go to Cape May especially for the clam chowder. I have never spoken to anyone who doesn't rave about it and when there they are constantly refilling the pot :thumbsup2.

Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studios. Hands down the worst place I've eaten at Disney.

Totally agree with you on this one! We had the Fantasmic Dining Package for lunch. Very poor service and the meal was not very good. Will not go back again.

I was going to say California Grill, but then I remembered our horrible experience at Tony's Town Square. The food has terrible, and the service was even worse. Blech!

Tony's. Tried it twice (in case the first time was just an off day) and it was bad both times.

I would agree with Tony's as my personal least favorite. The ragu was worse than Ragu!

But that was 9 years ago (yes, I held a grudge for that long, I'm afraid). So in my older years, I'm willing to give second chances and so we have ADR for Tony's again in June.

P.S. A curious note. I can see just about EVERY restaurant at Disney made this list. My take-away is that anyone can have a bad experience anywhere. And for everyone that says someplace is their LEAST favorite restaurant, there's someone that will say that same place is their FAVORITE. (Well, except for ABC Commissary perhaps.)

Thats the way it always is for these kind of threads.

Surprised anyone even still eats anywhere at WDW. ;)

Any poll that asks top 5 and bottom 5 will have a few of the same listed on both.

some we were neve go back again others we would try again. usually when we do not lke it they never change. shame disney still is wonderful just need the chef to rethink their menu.

Most would say its not the chefs but the accountants that effect the quality of the food.

The main reason its the accountants, the Disney Dining Plan. They have pushed this so much some people think there is no other way to pay at WDW.

I agree, although the bean counters have probably caused less experienced chefs to be hired.

Large corporations tend to hire top executives who are only interested in short-term success. They produce record dividends while they're there and don't care if they ruin the company in the process. They usually move on to other companies with their pockets full.

I'm hoping we're close to an era where someone who wants a long-term career at Disney will take over and fix things.

Hollywood & Vine - they take bland food to a whole new level. I'd rather chew on steak fat then eat there again
