is it a Classic a Cult or just Embarressing :rotfl:

mine is The Shawshank Redemption ( Definatly a cult ).... it never fails to make me feel sad and laugh at the same time, i can remember a lot word for word yet can never watch it enough !

So go on.....tell me yours !

I love Breakfast at Tiffanys - I love Audrey Hepburn and is so glamorous :goodvibes It is a real stay in your bed and watch movie:)

and I have to say sitting on the sofa watching a Disney movie with the kids is the best :goodvibes Not that they indulge me much these days :rotfl:

My Cousin Vinny... I love everything about it but mainly the final court scene... Definitely Marisa Tomei's finest hour... "You've been a lovely, lovely witness." :goodvibes

Chocolat. It's so sad and moving yet in the end happy - really beautiful. I'm glad I saw it before I read the book as they are not the same story (I love the book too, though.)

well mine is quite on odd choice but I just love the King and I
it still makes me cry and I have a strange fasination with Yul Brynner

Brillant film, so funny. Marisa Tomei certainly deserved the Oscar.

My favourite film is Death on the Nile. It has everything for me, true Hollywood great actors, murder/mystery and the fantastic backdrop of the Nile. I've lost count the amount of times I've seen it. Although I know the end it's still my alltime favourite. I even have it on my Ipod:thumbsup2

All time favorite film has to be:

Steel Magnolias

Although Once Upon A Time In America and Love Actually come close as well:goodvibes

shawshank for me too although Gentlemen prefer blondes is a close second

2001 A Space Odyssey on Blu Ray is simply stunning

Love Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, (bit of a war theme there !)

but also love Glengarry Glen Ross, which when I have had a bad, day this film makes realise it could be a whole lot worse. Jack Lemmon in this film is superb,

Mine and DHs favourite comedy (all time cheer us up) movie is...........

BLADES OF GLORY

It's so sillly, you laugh from start to finish.

For me it has to be The Blues Brothers..The music is great, the car chases are funny John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd are great and so many stars in it.It was on a VA flight to Orlando years ago and I probably watched it 3 times on the way. The scene when the penguin (mother superior) chases them out and down the stairs really cracks me up every time. Classic..

I would have to say Mary Poppins, its the first film I remember seeing as a child and I never get board of it.

Too many to choose but:

Action: The Mummy, The Mummy Returns (Brendan Fraser ones), Twister, Dante's Peak and Volcano.

Comedy: Road Trip and American Pie.

Feel Good: Dirty Dancing & Grease.

Kids Films: All of them!!

I don't watch sad films and horrors scare the bejeesus out of me!

Star Wars (Part IV) - The first one.

Why??? - Obvious, because it's brilliant.

Mine is It's a Wonderful Life. I also love Grease, Toy Story and Love Actually.

Pulp fiction. Although very different subject I'll also vote for Love Actually, I love all the connections in the movies, when I saw both films I thought they were very clever.

Grease is my favourite. With perhaps the LOTR Trilogy in second. But its hard to pick as I love so many.

For me it has to be "Some like it hot" which I can watch over and over again.

Also Christmas eve and the 23rd I have to do the annual viewing of Wonderful Life and White Christmas or it wouldn't be Chirstmas.
