I would like to know what people really think of the resorts. Tell me what your favorite is and why. I'm curious so that I can make reservations for next year. Let me know even if it is just one of the regular resorts. Thanks.:thewave:

this is the DVC board not the WDW resorts board - so expect alot of people stating their favorite DVC resort - (DVC is part of WDW - but there a bunch of resorts that are only WDW)

I happen to love OKW and VWL.

I know what board it is, but I'm asking here because I am currently waiting for an ROFR and plan on having lots of trips in the future to WDW. I know, just like most that I will not be staying at only OKW where my hub is. I figured if anyone had a good opinion on this topic, it would be persons whom are part of DVC considering they are there more then most. I realize that the best properties are those that are located in DVC, but that may not be everyone's favorite so I asked for any of them. Thanks for the input.

Well, personally, my favorite resort is the Grand Floridian. There are so many things I love about this resort. I love the theme, listening to the orchestra at night unwinding to a nice drink, sitting on the beach and watching the monorail go by, having afternoon tea in their tea room, Victoria and Albert's chef table, Citrico's, watching the fireworks from their dock, catching the boat back to the resort from the MK while others are waiting for the monorail or the bus, being able to walk to get a massage, walking to the Poly, watching the light parade from the beach, renting the water sprites. As you can see there are so many reasons that I love this resort. Others may find it a little snooty, but I have never encountered anyone there that made me feel in anyway that it was not for families. Do I stay there alot, no. The reason for that is right now I need the extra space that a DVC property affords. As for my favorite DVC, it is definitely the BCV. I love being able to walk to Epcot and MGM, Stormalong Bay is also a big plus. I also own at BWV, but I prefer the theming of the BCV and SAB. Hope this helps, good luck!

I personally love the Beach Club (although we stay in the Villas.) I love the theaming, it so sophisticated yet relaxing. I also love its location as Epcot and MGM are my favourite parks. I also love being close to the Boardwalk and being able to walk over there at night. and love the beach near the hotel. Finally I love it for Stormalong bay and the restaurants there - Beaches and cream, Cape May and the Yachtsmans steakhouse (I know that is in the Yacht club but the two resorts join together.)

I love Boardwalk Villas. It is the greatest hotel in the world to me and my family. I just feel relaxed there and there is nothing like just strolling the Boardwalk at night and soaking in the atmosphere. My kids love it as well. I love being able to walk to EPCOT and MGM since we normaily do not rent a car and have to rely on the bus system. Also, in my opinion, a boardwalk view just can't be beat.

My favorite is the Poly. When I am on vacation, I like to be laid back and let nothing bother me. The atmosphere of the Poly has to be the most laid back of any resort I have ever stayed at. It is very beautiful, and the view from the beach cannot be beat.

BEACH CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been to disney 7 times the last 7 years and have stayed at numerous resorts but we LOVE the Beach Club-
atmosphere, close proximity to epcot/boardwalk/MGM makes it worth the extra $$-

After the parks there is so much to do right outside your hotel-walking!!!

Plus, it is a deluxe resort and we have always received excellent service and the restuarants/shops/arcade/etc are great!

Of the ones we've stayed at (see below), Coronado Springs is our fave. Why? Dig Site pool, view across the lake, landscaping, Pepper Market.

Our favorite resort is Contemporary because:

Location
View from Tower rooms
Size of rooms
Walkway to/from MK
Boats/Monorail
Concourse for shopping
Restaurants
Arcade
Activities (pools/boats/parasailing)

Way to hard to choose. Love certain things about all the Resorts.
To narrow it down a little.

Not WDW but VB anytime of year.
For Summer we like OKW for size of rooms and relaxation.
For Fall We love the Epcot Resort area for walking distance to the Food and Wine Festival.
At Christmas, it would have to be the WL followed very closely by the GF. Just love the ambience of the two resorts for the holidays with the decorations up and proximity to MK for MVMCP
For Winter, we like to cruise with the AKL tacked on the end.
