What is your favorite thing to order at a Japanese restaurant-Inspired by the Chinese

gosh this thread is making me want to go to a japanese place for dinner. i'll second the sushi!

Beef Teriyaki that is thinly sliced and with the teriyaki sauce on it. I want some Japanese food also.

We love the Hibachi dinners. DH and I always order Filet Mignon with Fried Rice. Mmmmmm...:D

Yum, love hibachi style! Shrimp, scallop and lobster. Caity, wanna meet me at Benihana?! :p

California rolls, hibachi-style dinners, fried bananas! Yummy!

Mommytotwo: Have you ever been to gyu-kaku? It's DH's new favorite restaurant. My sis in Honolulu was telling me about this restaurant so we visited the one in L.A. Yummy!!

Back to my favorite dishes: I like tebasaki chicken from Furaibo (a chain that's really popular in Japan), shioyaki sanma (charbroiled fish), sushi (yellowtail, tuna, albacore, salmon skin roll, uni).....

Sake, lots of Sake:teeth: after that you can eat pretty much anything.

1. Sushi
2. Sake
3. hibachi style Shrimp

That's easy - sake! I like many types of ethnic food but Japanese is my least favorite. :( I've tried sushi twice and probably never will again. I don't even like hibachi much. Every time I have had it the meat (steak, shrimp) is so bland. The sad thing is that my DBF absolutely loves sushi! :( I wish I liked it.

Soba-isomakaki-age (sp.!) & vegetable suki-aki for me.
DH adores beef shabu shabu.
Don't mind saki, but prefer Kirin.
