Non ride related.....Maybe this post will give others some ideas of things to do at Disney other than going to the parks or going to the parks and doing other things than riding rides.

Mine is now playing mini golf at Fantasia Gardens, going to Disney Quest and walking around DTD. (Gotta love Earl of Sandwich and Once upon a Toy)...

Oh don't forget riding around the Monorail and stopping at each of the resorts.

Oh Oh if you are staying at WL or at least visiting, rent a bike and ride over to Ft. Wilderness and riding around the camp grounds.

Anyone else..... :earsboy:

Walking around dtd or boardwalk seeing wishes from the dock at gf or if lucky a specialty cruise ,we saw illuminations last time and I'm officially spoiled now
also enjoy mini golf at fantasia can't wait for next trip its no kids

Are you kidding? I'm the queen of 'nonriders.' I take in many other things while DH and DD enjoy the rides.

My favorite activity is to watch the 'street players' at MGM studios. (Especially 'Stan and Stella.' LOL!) And, of course, shopping! :teeth:

I'm a big fan of savoring and relaxing. I love the butterfly garden at Epcot... no one is ever there! And it so pretty. I also love sitting on the beach at WL or the Poly, watching the Electric Water Pageant go by... and sitting with the ducks by the water at Dixie Landings (sorry, I will go to my grave refusing to call it Port Orleans Riverside), mug of coffee in hand. And I love our late-night tradition of hot chocolate and playground time, to unwind before bed.

*sighs happily*

I can't believe I will be back there in just a few DAYS!!!

My kids just love to go to that Ice Station Cool, I believe it's called. It's in Epcot, where you taste all the different Coke from other counties. I like to shop in Downtown Disney.

We love to visit the monorail resorts too, and Earl of Sandwich. It's now on our list of "must dos" since it opened. We like to get cinnimon pecans in Epcot and sit on a bench and just relax for a while taking in the "magic". We're going to take 2 tours this trip! Finally my DS is 16!!! Yipee! We've been waiting for this since 1998! We like to also walk from MGM to Epcot and stop and visit the shops and resorts along the way. That takes a couple of hours and we see lots! We've played mini-golf and gone to DD and DisneyQuest. The movies too. That's an awesome theater at DD!

Downtown Disney is always a must do. Just like the atmosphere of walking around there. Kids love the lego shop, pop fountains, and candy shoppe.

FW Camp Petting Zoo/pony ride when my kids were little.

Resort hopping/touring...just checking them out. Riding all disney transportation to get to them. Fun!

Riding the Monorail, shopping at DTD, visiting other Resorts, driving all around WDW and Celebration. :)

Weird as it may sound, I had the most fun at Downtown Disney...and I only went into 2 stores (World of Disney and the Lego store). I had fun watching dd ride the train, play in the jumping fountain and play at the Lego playground. :)

A friend and I went resort hopping this year. I had a lot of fun doing that. It was interesting to see different resorts that I have never stayed at before. And to add to our fun, we had a hidden mickey's book and found all of them in each place we went to. ;)

We love to take an ice cream break in the afternoon. Doesn't matter if it's a warm day or a cool day, ice cream is a required part of the day.

Love to take the boats from OKW to DTD. A nice relaxing ride after what are usually hectic days.

Any chance we get for time at the pools. Our kids also discovered how fun the water parks can be and that will now be part of our future trips.

It's fun to have a picture drawn by one of the artists. A few years ago I had the kids picture drawn at Magic Kingdom and this past year I had my son's picture drawn at the Studios. They are fun souvenirs to bring home.

We also love to resort hop. This is especially easy if you have a car. We'll usually make a PS at several different resorts during our stay, just to give us an excuse for going to the various resorts.

Ice Station Cool is also a required stop for us in EPCOT.

The rose gardens in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are spots we also see several times during each trip. They are a great place to relax for a few minutes.

We rent a pontoon boat and drive it around. It's a fun to see the resorts from the water and it's relaxing too. This year we'll be taking a lunch with us.

I LOVE Downtown Disney--I get so excited about thinking going there. I love to start our trip off by going there getting in the "Disney" mood. My BF and I ALWAYS top off the perfect day (usually going to MK open to close) by then going to Downtown Disney.

I also like Tom Sawyer's Island. It is fun to walk around and I also like doing the trails @ Animal Kingdom!!

Ohhhh,so many things to do...lets see.
Monorail,Monorail,Monorail!! How about Resort hopping? We LOVE DTD, SO many things to do and see there. And the day before leaving?? You GOTTA relax, swim, and have a few drinks at the resort! ;)

My favorite-people-watching! That's why I know where every rocking chair, bench, seat is-I love to just sit and watch everyone rush by. One time, though, Cruella caught me at the rocking chairs in front of Town Hall and told me sternly, "Get moving-this isn't a rest home!" But I just love to people watch and "soak it all in".

We love DTD, riding the boat from WL to Ft. Wilderness for the campfire activity, riding the resort monorail, and taking it easy at the WL pool.

We spend less and less time on the attractions it seems with so many other fun things to do. I couldn't possibly narrow it down to one or two. Here goes:

1) Fantasia Gardens mini-golf

2) Fort Wilderness - so much to do. Hay ride, canoeing, rent a bike, campfire sing-along

3) Shopping!!!!!!!!!! especially at World Showcase

4) Eating - Dining at Disney is an attraction within itself to us.

5) Swimming at the resort - our favorites are Stormalong Bay and Volcano Pool (makes it hard to decide where to stay)

6) Strolling the boardwalk, renting a surry, and taking in all the hustle/bustle

7) Watching fireworks from the beach at the Poly...and the Electrical Water Pageant

so much to do, so little time!

We love Fantasia Gardens.
We also love pool time. I particularly enjoyed watching the fireworks from the Polynesian Volcano pool when we stayed there in 2001. I have some great memories of hot-tub sitting with friends.
Another thing I enjoy doing is strolling around the resort grounds in the morning with my cup of coffee. If staying at an Epcot resort, I like to stroll around Crescent Lake in the early morning hours. Just me & the joggers....
I like the walkway between MGM & Epcot as well.
Fort Wilderness has tons to do. Love bike riding there.
Water Mice!!!! Our favorite place to rent is 7 Seas Lagoon. Best for water mouse regattas.
I agree, Dining at Disney is a whole attraction in itself to us.
Cirque Du Soliel is a great non-Park way to enjoy Disney.
I have found as time has passed & I have a few trips under my belt, that I enjoy more & more the small things at WDW. I love to people watch & finding a good rocking chair in Frontierland can be a nice way to pass a little quiet time....
I tend to avoid DTD other than going to Cirque or to PI. I'm just not a big DTD person.....

Downtown Disney
Mini-Golf
GF Day Spa
Visiting & exploring the other resorts

There is just SO much to do besides the parks & rides!

Our favorite non-ride to partake in is the hoop dee doo review. It's a must see for us each time we go. The food is great, and it's live, crowd-interactive entertainment. How I'd love to be at the hoop dee doo now.... We have some time until our next vacation...
