Tell us about your dining experience inside California Adventure.

Well I ate at Pizza Oh Mow Mow and it was mediocre at best.

I ate at the Mexican resturant on the Monterey section and it was mediocre.

I am still looking for the chance to eat at Mondavi's place with the wine. Could be a DAC (drink Around California) experience?

The Cove Bar was excellent (that is the bar above Avalon Cove). DSD (9) and DSS (8) got chicken tenders and raved. They were different than the ones served at other restaurants. I had Sushi, one of my favorites. DH had some type of prime rib sandwhich (I think). It was excellent. The beer was cold and the view of the launch of California Screamin' was the best!

We also enjoyed the Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill in the Pacific Wharf section (be sure to visit the nearby Margarita stand).

The wine tasters dinner at Mondavi's is wonderful.

We ate their the first full day of our trip. I made reservations weeks ahead of time, as we were staying at Paradise Pier.

Our reservations were at 8. We were seated right away, right at the railing, so we had great seats for the parade.

The food was great, and so was the service. They held the second course, as the parade was about to start. People from other tables move over to watch the parade.. We thought that would be awaful at first, but with them holding dinner it was fine.

The price is more than worth it. It really wasn't much more than counter service, or buffeteria type restaurants, when you figured in that kids ate free (including my 12 yo) and my husband was half off (annual pass discount).

The staff was attentive and not condescending. They even warned that the entree we chose was just one scallop each (a very large one). It was more than enough!

We considered eating there again, but never got around to it. We did pick up food from the market their and sat and watched parades a couple of times.

It is a Wonderfully well run area!

I have not been yet, but I like the menu for the counter service at Bountiful Harvest Farmer's Market in the Golden State area of DCA. They have salads and some interesting "wraps" using the fresh tortillas made nearby. You can view menus on Laughing Place or Mouse planet (takes a little poking around to find them).
