What is your favorite restaurant at WDW?

Have you ever been to V and A's? I know at one time I remember you saying that the atmosphere there killed any desire to go, but I'm not sure if you have since changed your mind.

From a pure food standpoint, I think you'd love it.

I have not.

I dont own a suit or sport jacket.

Buying one to go to one dinner seems extravagant.

If I were forced to wear a jacket and slacks to dinner, I'd be miserable and that would color the entire experience.

I've looked in several times and it holds absolutely no appeal to me at all.

I love the casual elegance of Jiko, Citricos and Narcoossee's. There is a certain to feel and sound to a well run restaurant. That low buzz of conversation from the dining room and the subtle noise of the kitchen are all appealing.

The times I've looked in V&A, that's missing....but I'm not suggesting that it's not well run. I'm suggesting that it's not my style.

I think I'll be boring and vote for Bluezoo. We ate there for the first time on our recent trip and it was fabulous. I would put California Grill up there but it was so noisy. If I'm spending a lot of $$$ for a nice dinner out, I want to be able to talk to my DH! We're trying Narcoosee's for the 1st time in January. I've never eaten at Citricos or Jiko. We ate at V&A a few years ago and I really enjoyed it but I'm not in a hurry to go back. :confused3

It's really difficult for me to decide, but I'd have to say Jiko. I really enjoy the mac & cheese filet there. That and the Tastes of Africa appetizer.

My second choice is California Grill with Narcoossee's as a close contender.

I think I have to get over to Jiko. I've never been to AKL, it's one of those things I plan to go see every trip, but it never happens. I keep hearing about how good Jiko is, but now the mac & cheese filet has me intrigued. I wonder if I can fit it in for November? :scratchin

But if you do not have a jacket they will loan you one.

And if you dine at CT the jacket is not required.

We've only been to WDW twice and only did quick service our last time there, so based on our one time of table service and also based on the pov of parents with young children, our fav was Biergarten. Loved the atmosphere with music and dancing and we all enjoyed the food there. Mom and dad also enjoyed the beer.

I'm sure any of the signature restaurants are great, we jus haven't tried them yet. Maybe when the kids are older.

Our family doesn't eat signature often and it seems our favorite restaurant changes often. Right now our favorite non-signature restaurant is Mama Melorese at Hollywood Studios with Kona Cafe not too far behind.

Jiko

Unique flavors that I cannot quite replicate at home. Amazing wines.

I want to take Victoria and Albert's out of the equation. It's really good but not a "go to" meal on every trip.

And I can't seem to pick just one, either! I'd be happy with:

California Grill
Jiko
Todd English's bluezoo™
Citrico's
Flying Fish Café

Ok, I'm limiting myself to 5, because there are more I'd be more than happy with.

I wanted to look into booking the chef's counter at Flying Fish next month, but I couldn't squeeze in on the date I wanted. So I booked myself at Todd's place. I am going to check for openings and see if I get lucky.

We absolutely love the California Grill, I guess its atmosphere and view combined with the great food just make it a "go to" every time we are their. Kona is a close second and we used to like Japan but were seriously disappointed last year when we went and ended up going to Kobe in Kissimmee and, as always, had a great meal for half the price with bigger portions and choices than Japan.
Have Fun!!

I want to try Jiko in the worst way! Unfortunately it just didn't fit into the agenda for our upcoming February trip. Unless we end up renting a car, then we'll see. Plans may change!

My favorite meal I've had in the past was lunch at Crystal Palace. Yes, that's right.

Favorite restaurants have to include many of the ones already mentioned, although I see BlueZoo getting a lot of votes and that's not been on my radar. Time to put it there!

In the parks:

Counter Service: Yorkshire Fish - it is a MUST do for our first meal every time.
Table Service: Biergarten - we LOVE LOVE LOVE German Food

Out of parks:

Counter Service: Earl's - Hawaiian BBQ sandwich - enough said!
Table Service: Cape May Cafe - I could live on ribs and clams.....

I would have to say Mama Melrose, not just because of the good food, but the memories that was shared there. As for atmosphere Artist Point comes in close second!
