its pouring rain and will all day. My son has a cold so we aren't going anywhere...other than the rental store! Dh and I are looking for some recommendations.

We rented that animated movie, Spirited Away. It was sooo good. We're going to buy it. The animation was amazing and the story quite good. Great for a rainy day.

the last thing i saw was Drumline..... but that sorta thing isn't for everyone... but i enjoyed it....

Really? I bought it before viewing it and really didn't care for it all :( Want my copy?

Here's some movies from my rental history that scored at least 4 out of 5 stars IMHO:

Antwone Fisher
Star Trek: Nemesis
Tuck Everlasting
Life as a House
Treasure Planet
Two Weeks Notice
Road to Perdition
The Count of Monte Cristo
Lone Star State of Mind
The Tuxedo
Maid in Manhattan
White Oleander
Formula 51
Stolen Summer
Blue Crush
The Four Feathers
Possession
Signs

The most recent rental I enjoyed was "2 Weeks Notice" with Sandra Bulllock and Hugh Grant. Not a stellar show but a great chic flick for a rainy day.:)

The last movie I rented was "Spaceballs!!" Awsome movie, in fact anything by mel brooks makes those rainy days go away!

I watched 3 yesterday that I got from Netflix: Agnes Browne, The Man from Elysian Fields, and About a Boy...enjoyed all three very much, and it was a great way to spend a day recuperating from surgery. :)

Watched Pumpkin last night. It was cute. Tried watching Just a Kiss - couldnt get into it.
After dinner Im watching Road to Perdition
Tomorrow night watching Minority Report
Mon afternoon watching The Ring

Really enjoyed Minority Report when I rented it a couple of weeks ago.

I liked Maid in Manhattan. Thought it was awesome. As long as your not sick of JLO

I watched I am Sam last night. It was very good! I almost cried during every other sence though! hehe

I saw Dumb and Dumber for the first time last weekend. I do have to say atleast it was funny! I thought I would hate it. Guess you gotta be in the right kind of mood for it! We were on a band trip and watched it on the bus. The guys were saying everything!
We also watched Joe Dirt. Kinda funny, but if your daughter is under 16 I wouldnt want mine to see it! hehe Its a little (very) crude! Have a great weekend though!!
(two weeks notice is great Mystery Machine:))

We also saw Unfaithful last week. It is definitely not for children. It is pretty steamy for the first part. I liked the movie but not the ending.

We also watched Road to Perdition, Two Weeks Notice, and Maid in Manhattan. They were all fair to us. Nothing to write homw about.

Watched Drumline last night, it definitely isn't for everyone, but since I'm into Drum and Bugle etc I loved it. Hubby isn't into that sort of thing but still really enjoyed the drum sequences.

Most people have probably already seen these, but our fav. recent rentals are:

My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Sweet Home Alabama

thanks everyone. Some recommended we had already seen or even own. Ended up going with Two Weeks Notice (fair is about right) and Unfaithful (will watch tomorrow). There are still a few some of you shared that we haven't seen, so may hit the video store again tomorrow! Soggy, soggy weekend here.

Why oh why oh why isn't TTT out yet? Wahhh. That's what I'm really in the mood for. We own FOTR and it would make a good double feature.
