I'm looking for recomendations for where we should eat lunches while at DL/DCA. What is your favorite place to eat?

My fav is the carnation cafe. I LOVE the yummy loaded baked potato soup. I am not a potato soup person, but I tried it once and that is all it took :) I am addicted :) You can get a half sandwich and a cup of soup......but beware once you try the soup you will wish you ordered a bowl :)

In DL: French Market Restaurant :thumbsup2
In DCA: Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill :p

Please nobody judge me, I have yet to try the Carnation Cafe' , Blue Bayou, or Corndog Castle; but I will in August. :cool1:

The Red Wagon corn dog place on Main st is my fave. I also enjoy the French Market. If DD is with me, then we like Redd Rockets. At DCA its Corndog Castle.

I like to get the Sonoma Chicken & Apple salad at the Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA. It's served in a sourdough bread bowl and is very yummy.

In DL, Carnation Cafe is good and we also enjoy Cafe Orleans.

Bengal BBQ and Horseshoe Revue (walk up)

Blue Bayou (sit down)

I also love the chimichangas, they are with the turkey legs and can be found in two places; in the hub near the statue and near the front of the Big Thunder entrance. The gumbo sourdough bowls in NOS near POTC is good too.

DBF loves the chimichangas. We have also found them at DCA on the corner stand (turkey leg cart) across from Schmoozies.

At Disneyland...

Pizza Port in Tomorrowland. You get huge portions of pasta. I love the chicken fuseli. Also good side salads. And bread. It's probably the most food you get for the money.
French Market. The beef stew in the bread bowl is great. Fried chicken is also good.
Blue Ribbon Bakery. Love to go here for chocolate filled croissants and mochas.

At DCA...
Pacific Wharf. Love the brocolli cheese soup in the bread bowl.

Great...now I'm craving everything!

You know I saw that recently, good call! If your guy likes a little spicy like myself here is my Chimichanga tip; get a Chimi at DL and since they are so hot when you get them (you really can't eat it for a few minutes) take that few moments to walk over to New Orleans Square to the Gumbo kiosk and in the condiment/utencil island there they ahve packets of Tabasco. Tobasco in little packet... genius!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip. I will let him know.

I like Pizza Port in DL and Rancho Del Zocalo too. The food at the Billy Hill show is good....and generous portions, our family of 4 shared an order of cheese sticks and fries and an order of chicken strips and fries. Followed by ice cream sundaes of course. :) Shared in 2's. :)

In CA we like Taste Pilots Grill a LOT! Good food!! DBF really like Cocina Cucamonga but he's the only one of us who has eaten there, the girls and I went someplace else for that meal. :) We like the Corn Dog Castle...man a corn dog sounds goooooood right now!

Corn dogs at CA and DL rock. Of course that is with 42 packets of mustard and ketchup.

Ooo, I had my first DL chimichanga over spring break - we got ours across from the entrance to Matterhorn. :goodvibes

I have to agree with really liked test piolts there all dressed fries ( with chili and everything) were to die for!!!!! :cloud9:

I really like Rancho Del Zocolo.
You get lots of food for the price, they have to me the most extensive menu in DL and there is a variety.
My favorites there are the Mexican Cesar salad with a side of fruit, the fruit is always so fresh and sweet,
or the Grilled half chicken with vegetables.
Dfi loves the Carne Asada and the cheese enchiladas
Also we really like the Cafe Orleans.
I just wish they had a bigger menu, but we really like the Ratatoulle. It is very good.
The little walk up counter just across from Cafe Orleans has yummy soup too! If you are on a budget, that is the deal of the park to me, A big bowl of chowder, in a bread bowl, you will be stuffed!
I used to like BB, but the last few times we had been there, I thought the food was very sub par especially for the price, bummer.
I would suggest as another poster had said, go to the BB for atmosphere and desert.

Our fave sit-down (TS) in DL is Carnation Cafe. The loaded baked potato soup is the BEST! I got the cup and half a veggie sandwich and my son ate half my soup (he did not order any for himself and was very sad!). I wish I got the bowl:thumbsup2

In DCA - Pacific Wharf has good soup and salada, Taste Pilot's has good burgers/ribs, etc. and a nice condiment bar. The corn dogs in DCA are great too - and HUGE!

DL - Carnation Cafe for breakfast - We haven't tried the lunch yet. I love the Mickey Waffle and their potatoes. Rancho -I love the cheese enchiladas and DBF loves the salad. Royal Street Veranda - I love love the clam chowder. I can eat a whole one and be very happy.

DCA - Corn Dog Castle - Omg, greatest hot link corn dogs of my life. I'm tempted to try the cheese on a stick next. Pacific Warf Cafe - The chicken salad is delicious. Taste Pilots - I really liked the Bleu Cheese burger.

Holy cow, I'm drooling now.
