What is your favorite (moderately priced) WDW restaurant?

For us, it's definitely Trail's End and Fort Wilderness. It just makes our day to take a break from MK, take the boat over to FW, and have an all-you-can-eat buffet of good-ole Southern comfort food, just like mama used to make! To top it off, it's always our least expensive "sit-down" meal!

Sppodles, the Kona Cafe, 50's Prime Time and Mama Melroses would be my choices. Haven't tried Whispering Canyon (we plan on doing so next month) but have heard good things about it, so that migt be an option as well.

I really like Spoodles for breakfast...it falls great in between counter service and a more expensive buffet. I've read varying things about ESPN, but I've always had luck there at lunch.

Hi PhotobearSam!

Some of our favourites are:

- Kona at the Poly for breakfast on an MK day (why? the amazing Tonga Toast)
- Sci Fi (burgers & shakes) for lunch on an MGM day (why? the hokey science fiction trailers and relaxing atmosphere)
- Le Cellier in WS for dinner on an Epcot day (why? I know it's not terribly exotic for Canadians, but we've had a great dinner and a very good lunch there - the soup and steaks were excellent)
- San Angel Inn in WS for dinner on an Epcot day (why? mostly for its romantic theming)

Hope that helps!

Kona Cafe ....... breakfast, lunch or dinner ....... food and atmosphere are great

Kona - TONGA TOAST!!!!!

We also thought Boma was a great value for all the great foods and to die for desserts.

another vote for Kona. We love going there for lunch so much we've made a pact to go at least twice this coming trip.

another place I found excellent and very reasonable is Trail's End for lunch. How can you beat $9.99 for all you can eat buffet?

the meatball sub at POR's food court is also very delish.

Beaches & Cream - the burgers are to die for.

Oh, and if you want good food for little money... get a turkey leg!

San Angel Inn for dinner, just love it there or The Biergarten for the buffet..love it...:sunny:

I also like ESPN and Big River Grille, the Meatloaf is GREAT!::yes::

Best hamburgers at WDW!

and the Chicken soup -- perfect. (my wife makes a pretty good version and she was just as enthusiastic.

We stayed at Poly last time (big splurge) and ended up eating there 3~4 times. Certainly didn't plan on it but we just kept going back.

I also like Crystal Palace because at semi-off-peak hours, it's a great place to sit down and relax while still in the middle of everything. The Cajun-American menu is somewhat inventive and very filling (very tasty veggie dishes!) To top it all off, my 3-year old (as well as my wife & I!) love the visits from Pooh & friends.

Oh yes, the Flame Tree BBQ at AK is more than decent (former Texian here). Can't beat the atmosphere amidst the little open rooms "on the river" once you actually sit down. Lines get a bit crazy at peak time though.

I vote for lunch at Nine Dragons. We LOVE splitting dim sum and Honey Sesame Chicken. Funny thing about Nine Dragons, the lunch and dinner portions are about the same size but cost significantly more during dinner.

Now to figure out how to take 3 orders of Honey Sesame Chicken back home with us in November....:scratchin

Wolfgang Pucks at DownTown Disney is our favorite.
Also, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Palio's and Beaches & Cream

Prime Time Cafe, Flame Tree BBQ, Pecos Bill, and Tangerine Cafe get our vote! We love the food at Prime time but since its always so heavy we tend to split (thus becomes a cheap lunch/dinner, even with PBJ shakes added!)
