Hi there.

We try different restaurants on each trip...We are not into $200 meals but like good food.

We have tried:

O'Hana's
Boma's
Beaches and Cream
Crystal Palace
Marrakesh
and
Cindy's for breakfast but don't think we would do supper there.

edited to add: we have also tried Rainforest, Tangerine Cafe and I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

We want to try something new...What are your favorites and why???

Thanks for any and all responses.:D

For moderately priced..you can't beat the made to order pasta or the home style cooked meals for dinners in the food court at all star sports. They are fantastic and in the $8-9 range..excellent value.

We look to the world showcase for excellent meals. Whether the walk up places or inside...you won't come close to $200.

Germany..the brats outside. Inside the main restaurants..portions are usually big enough to share..so we order and appetizer and entree..have them served at the same time and share...works great..we don't over eat and we get excellent meals.

At Artist Point the one price menu is excellent..everything included, 4 courses for less than $50 per person. You can add the wine flight on top that.

Spoodles..you can order everything to share.

For meals that arent so much splurges we like ESPN, Kona Cafe, and Mama Melrose.

Kona Cafe, Big River, Mama Melrose, Rainforest Cafe, for us.

We like ESPN,Kona,Dolphin Fountain & Yatch Club Galley simply because we like the food and decent prices.

Good ideas so far...I forgot to put Rainforest on my list but have tried it twice and loved it.

Kona sounds nice but would you do breakfast or supper?

For truly moderately priced food, I think the Tuskar House in AK has the best selection and quality. Where else can you get salmon or a whole quarter of chicken with sides for those prices?!? It's definitely one of our favorites.

In WDW terms for "moderately" priced restaurants, are favorites are probably the Tempura Room (delicious) and Rose & Crown (the view) at Epcot, Wolfgang Puck's (unique fare) in DTD, Kona Cafe (quality) at the Poly. We still have a lot of places to try, but those are our faves so far!

Lunches are always less expensive so your best bet is to try and eat at your more expensive choices then.

We live nearby so we visit often but I always try and make our dining ressies as interesting as possible. Still, there are a few places that we seem to eat at frequently so I will name those:

Rose and Crown (Epcot)
Crystal Palace (MK)
Tangierine Cafe (Epcot)
Garden Grill (Epcot)
Brown Derby (MGM)
Tony's (MK)
Chefs de France(Epcot)

We have eaten almost everywhere there is to eat in WDW
but like I said - we are always up for any of those. ::yes::

P/S Can you tell we really like the dining at Epcot? LOL :smooth:

The Plaza at MK is one of the best moderately priced meals!!

Another vote for Kona Cafe. We have had lunch there twice. The first time was great. The second time we found out they had changed the menu and I was worried it wouldn't be as good. I was wrong - it was even better! In fact, it was the best meal of our trip in June. :D

We like the Rainforest Cafe and LeCellier. We also like the Pepper Market at CSR but aren't thrilled with the automatic 10% gratuity.

Hi, PhotobearSam! Chefs de France has a luncheon special that was excellent, and a very reasonable buy. I think I saw one on the menu at Marrakesh (luncheon special) but I haven't had it.

We like Olivia's at OKW - they have a nice menu. We alos enjoyed the French Menu at Chef's de France.

All these votes for Kona Cafe.. maybe I need to go make another PS ::yes::

I would say for moderately priced food - my favorite is Beaches and Cream. Best hamburger on property and the buns are baked fresh at the YC/BC. Delicious and a fun atmosphere. We like to play tunes on the jukebox.

We also like the Concourse Steakhouse. For me and my DH, our bill was in the $40 - 50 range which is indeed moderate for a Disney sit-down restaurant. They have great food and what an atmosphere!!! Great prime rib, and they have a wonderful Summer Peach Salad (summer only of course) that's to die for! You can get mini-desserts for $1.99 each which I think is a nice touch.

We also like the Kona Cafe - sort of Asian inspired - and again $40 - $50 instead of a $100 meal.

Those are the ones I can think of right now -

We did Kona Cafe for lunch there in May. "Escaped" from MK & had a nice break from the sun & crowds. It was great. We also enjoyed our lunch at Le Cellier & love the fish & chips stand in Great Britain.

If you want someplace very romantic, do supper at Yakitori House and sit out back near the fountain after it gets dark. There are hanging Japanese lanterns, and the fountain drowns out all the noise of Epcot except the drum performance. The food was also very good and pretty cheap for WDW.

We tried Pecos Bills at MK for lunch on our last trip and the whole family was impressed. Burgers were good and grandpa made a pig of himself at the toppings bar. After he'd eaten his hot dog (with tons of stuff on top), he took the plate back up to the toppings bar and made a huge salad!

I second the recommendations for Tusker House (loved the garlic mashed potatos) and Kona Cafe (great breakfast).
