Mine is when the lights are dimmed at the Magic Kingdom just before the fireworks and the music begins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oct. 31, 1999 - MNSSHP, when I, dressed as Maleficent, walked around MK with a CM (as bodyguard) and a little 3 y.o. boy came running at me full throttle (he came up to my knees). And grabbed on to my knees in a bear hug. He said I was his favorite character. (Most kids had run from me screaming as my headpiece was about 3 feet tall)!. His mom took our picture. He was so happy! It was definitely worth being in a hot mask on a hot evening - just for the look on his face. Oh heck, and the looks on the hundreds of other people and all the autographs I gave: Born to be Bad......

My first thought was when they go in to see Mickey in his dressing room; but they've kind of gotten used to that meeting. Or maybe the look on the face next to me just before the drop on the TOT or Splash Mountain; but they're getting to be 'too big' to let that bother them. Hmmm... But I've noticed that even tho they are figity and tired and semi-cranky at the time, when that music starts on the speakers, and the Electrical Parade comes into view, my boys never are anything but MESMERIZED. Luvv that parade.

(Of course, out of fear for our well being, we don't ride that big thrill ride known as IASW much anymore.....)

Riding Dumbo, just after the evening parade and having the fireworks going off all around us! That was magical!

My two favourite memories of Walt Disney World are the following:

Last Christmas day, we started our tour of the Magic Kingdom at the Toontown Hall-of-Fame. Naturally, there were no other guests there that early in the morning, so Cinderella just picked up my then two-year old daughter, and gave her a roughly 10-minute personalized tour of all the character rooms there. Our daughter was, of course, thrilled, and we got some great pictures and memories!

My second favorite occured just a few weeks ago when my now three-year old daughter rode Splash Mountain for the first time. My wife decided to stop by Guest Relation to see if they didn't have anything special for such an occasion (which I at first considered a waste of time), but sure enough, after 10 minutes the Guest Relations CM she talked to returned with a wonderful, personalized "Magical Moment" certificate, awarded to her from Mickey Mouse ("Congratulations on your first time on Splash Mountain. Your Pal, Mickey Mouse"). It also has signatures of Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto on it. It is now in a frame mounted above her bed.

My DSD's face our first trip to Disney in 1999 when she got her first character autograph and hug.

Sitting on a bench in Epcot, eating a Mickey bar and people-watching, at any time of day. :)

Following our Illuminations cruise in 2,000 my 6 year old nephew said, "This was the greatest day of my life." It made me cry and it's my favorite magical memory :)

Do I have to pick just ONE? ;)

Standing on the beach at the WL when ds was 5 and watching the electrical water show. He watched silently and when it was done he looked up at me with those big baby blues and said, "Mom.it just doesn't get any better than this!"

Coming back to the resort on the bus after a LONG fun day with a tired child on either shoulder...the bus is dark...and ds starts to sing very softly, "It's time to remember the magic....." The bus became hushed as his sweet little voice brought the magic home to all aboard. Still bring tears to my eyes. He was almost asleep as I carried him off of the bus and the driver said "Goodnight Mr. remember the magic!"

Walking behind my dd our first trip to WDW and watching her ponytail swing back and forth as she strode from place to place, minnie backpack on her back. Everything was a wonder to her on that trip!

OK...last one and then I'll stop!;) Last Christmas, in the middle of the lake in front of the WL we were the only ones on the boat. The Captain timed it so that we were in the best spot for the fireworks in the MK on a MVMCP night! What a magical moment that was! Just our little family all snuggled on the bow of the boat soaking in the joy of the season and the joy of being together. I will never forget the gift that this man gave to us that night!!

The "Kiss Goodnight" at MK is always very beautiful and very magical to me :)

That first glimpse of the castle every visit (it never gets old)!

My favorite WDW magic moment is Illuminations and fireworks on New Year's Eve 1999-2000. I also have a Big magic moment when we first arrive each trip. I have this underlying excitement that wont go away until after I enter Epcot! I just can't wait to get there!

Oh my - you guys are making me cry

One of our favorite memories from our Oct 2001 vacation was when DS9.5, DH, MIL and I got to be flag family at the WL! The views were absolutely gorgeous
Thank you Ranger Stan

I think it's very hard to pick one.

While we had been to Disney many times with our children. There is one trip that will always stand out as the most magical.

After many years of not visiting Disney, I had planned a trip with Myself, DH and Granson for April of 97. In November of 96 my DH was in an auto accident. He was in the trama center for over a week, was not suppose to make it. He proved everyone wrong and made a remarkable recovery, but it took a year. The 97 trip was canceled.

In the winter 98 I started making plans for an April trip. This trip will always be at the top of my list.

Magical because DH was there to share in Grandson First Trip, and Magical through the eyes of my 7 year old Grandson.

I have to say the whole trip was magical every moment of it.

Sitting in the twilight time at Epcot, waiting for the start of the TOD parade. Watching the people, feeling glad to sit and rest, savoring the great view spot we had obtained. Laughing and talking with my DD and DH. Sharing a common anticipation for the great show to come. Where else can I be transported to someplace else, and have my family go with me?

Some years back I observed a "young" couple in their 70's or older walking around world showcase and holding hands. They sat on a bench and gave each other a small kiss, neither one of them said a word as they enjoyed the scenery.

I have another -

sitting at the Rose & Crown waiting for Illuminations on what we thought was our last night staying at the WL. The WL had called us earlier in the day and asked if we wanted to stay another night. I told DH I thought his mother (who was w/us on vaca) wanted to get over to her house (Vero Beach area) the next day as planned. However, sitting having dinner and waiting for Illuminations to begin we told MIL about this phone call. Not only did she want me to add on another night but stay the remainder of our vaca which was 3 more nights! Sooo since we had the time we hadnt planned on we had to visit the Disney vacation club and of course we joined. If it wasnt for those extra 3 nights at the WL we most likely wouldnt be going on our Disney Magic cruise in 3 months!
