What is your favorite Disney tradition?

Our tradition is to head to Epcot first thing after we arrive and we always make sure to go see our picture on the big blocks just inside the turnstyles before heading to Space Ship Earth for our first ride of the trip. We almost always start and end each trip in Epcot.

We always have our picture taken with the little mermaid in front of BCV even if we are staying else wear.

We do that too. It's one of our "Let's see how the kids have grown" picture spots.

Usually our first night we visit Port Orleans Riverside and take in Yehaa Bob's show. It was a tradition started by accident on DH and I's first visit to WDW some eight years ago. We also purchase a Christmas ornament. :)

We make a point of visiting Raglan Road some time during our visit. Okay, maybe a Guinness is the only way I can bribe DH into doing a little shopping. :)

We also try to see Bob wile we are there. That is a recent tradition of ours.

Looks like we are going to start a new tradition this year. Our family consensus is that instead of buying a bunch of presents for Christmas that no one really needs, we are going to spend our holidays at the Magic Kingdom every year! I love Disney at Christmas!!!

Since check-in isn't until after 4:00 p.m.(DVC), we usually settle in to our resort, walk around and get the lay of the land, and head to DTD for a yummy app and beer flight at Raglan Road. Then we walk around DTD for awhile, head back to the resort to pick up some sundries and head back to the room for some rest so we can start our first full day on a "full tank". Also, we don't want to burn a full day on our pass for just a few evening hours at a park.

We love this tradition and it suits our family to a "T". :thumbsup2

DH and I do a monorail lounge/decorations tour on Christmas Eve. Great since we don't have to worry about driving-we stay at Wilderness for that part of our stay.:santa:

Also head over to the campground to check out the decorations there-sometimes do the wagon ride.

This will sound weird but on my daughter's 2nd trip to WDW she ended up in Orlando Children's Hospital for 2 days in the pediatric care unit for an illness and severe dehydration, after being in Cape Canaveral ER, then Celebration ER. Week of Christmas. Tears tears tears. :(

The 1st place we took her after hospital discharge was Akershus. So now we go to Akershus every trip. I always sit back when I'm there and look at her, thinking about how far we've come. That poor kid's been in and out of hospitals her whole life.

God bless you all! I hope Disney continues to make her smile for a long long time. We have 18 year old twins that we nearly lost at birth. They were 7 weeks premature and spent weeks in the neonatal ICU before coming home. I too sneak loving peeks at them when I think of their rough start.

We do this too! As a mater of fact we need a new frame because we can't fit anymore in the one we are using. On the back we write the kids' ages and what # trip it is. Other traditions...lots of food ones (Dole whips and Mickey bars, Mickey waffles for he kids, and usually Caseys on Main StreetUSA)....kids love to just ride the monorail, even as teens....I like to get off at each resort and check every shop!...

We also try to do something new each trip. Some fun things we have tried and like to go back to once in a while are: kitchen sink sundae at Beaches and Cream and the paintbrushes at Tom Sawyer Island.

We had lots of traditions when we stayed in Fort Wilderness too.

First park must be MK. First attraction in MK must be POC. We/I (DH passed away 5 years ago) have been doing this since 1983.

I saw your post just now. Thank you for the kind words.
