I'm currently working on getting a welcome/happy birthday basket put together for my 4 year old son (through GOAL) for our trip in Decmeber - 38 days and counting. I was hoping everyone would share their favorite disney item or souvenir so I can decide what should be in his basket. His favorites right now are CARS and Buzz Lightyear.

Our favorite has to be the rice krispy mickey snacks on a stick - but without the chocolate ears.

Thanks for your input! :mickeybar

He might enjoy the swords and shields that they sell at UK and Norway at Epcot. They are made of a rubber-like material. We bought a couple of sets last year, and they have been a big hit in our house.

You can look in the TINK ROOM in my sig it's mostly stuff collected from the different parks. This is DD13 room.

But have you concidered a PAL MICKEY they are pricey but at 4 it might be real fun to have at the parks.

My 2 are 4 & 5 and the one they still both play with is the Potato head stuff - they had a buzz lightyear part when we were there! Instead of having all the parts picked out put a standard set in and then bring him to the store to fill a box of parts (you don't have to buy the head there, you can fill the box with just parts). We also brought home sports mickey bobbly heads for DS5 to put in his room to remember when. My DH favorite is his travel mug.

You could also add a baseball cap, disney dollars, pin(s) for trading too.

I can list lots of stuff, but I have to say our all time favorite are the plasitic popcorn buckets with the handle and lid on them from the various theme parks! My kids LOVE to have popcorn in them at home for movies, but we have collected quite a few now, so we also used them for crayons, markers,
change, little toys, and all kinds of little things that get collected on our kids' dressers.
We also use the spinning light toys quite a bit, and our little photo albums that have pictures from the trips in them. We absolutely love the trading pins...we just collect them, not trade. I let each pick out one theme park pin and two of their favorite attractions for each day. We do a resort pin and sometimes another one if it is a special occasion.
Definately Mr. Potato Head...even my older ones still play with the Disney pieces from him.

There is so much, if you pick carefully to your child's interests, I'm sure the souvenirs will become treasured!

My kids also like the popcorn buckets. Whenever we make popcorn, it has to go in the buckets!! It tasted better in the park!!

I love the idea of having the popcorn buckets...also you can never go wrong with the light up spinner toys (they have a really cool Buzz one, my daughter had to have it when we were there in May), also what about the blinking necklaces? And of course the Potato Heads are awesome...we buy a couple of boxes of them each time we go.

I so agree, there's nothing like the popcorn in the parks, but our favorite microwave popcorn is Pop Secret Homestyle with real butter....(I'm afraid to read the label!), but it's yummy and just the right amount of salt and butter...not TOO much!

Another favorite from WDW is those mickey pretzels!

For me it has to be the Dole Whips from the Magic Kingdom. My trip to the MK wouldn't be complete without one! :sunny:
