We will be trying out Raglan Road for the first time in September and I would love opinions on the food and which dishes are the best. I am a big steak and seafood lover, too. :goodvibes

Love Raglan Road and wish we had time to get there on this trip. DNiece had the shepherd's pie and pronounced it amazing. I've had the ham, fish and chips and the scallop forest and they were terrific. DD has had the not bleedin chowder which was too much mussels and too little other stuff and the chicken (which might not be on the menu anymore?) which was OK as she wasn't a big fan of the sauce. DH had the pork loin and was pretty impressed. Desserts are a little more difficult to classify - we didn't really like the dunbrody kiss and the other desserts we've had are no longer on the menu.

Hope this helps - another thing to consider is that they have a great band and if you are there at the right time, there is a wonderful Irish dancer.

We love the salmon and mashed potatoes. And for dessert the bread pudding is excellent. I always say I am going to try something else, but I always order the salmon. We love the entertainment too.

I've eaten there just twice, including just last night, and had the fish and chips both times. My wife had the salmon the first time and the chicken pie last night. We were with five others and everyone gave two thumbs up all around. Raglan Road is solidly towards the top of our top ten favorites.

both DH and I had the steak last month,, I am not a super big steak person but it was good,, then the potatoes were good w it. For dessert I had some kinda chocolate delightful thing,, yummm

Thank you all so much for your reviews! Keep them coming!!! I have had my eye on the It's Not Bleedin' Chowder, but that may change with these reviews. :rotfl:

The scallop forest app. is really good.:thumbsup2

We ate there for the first time on June 24th, it was a last minute choice as we ended our afternoon at TL and needed a bite to eat before we went to the airport for our evening flight. As boring as I am sure it sounds we ordered hamburgers....LOL! However the hamburger was fantastic! I would order it again in a second.

My husband also had a beer, I believe it was called Arrogant Bast****and he is a beer "freak". He doesn't drink the standard beers that are on the market. He is always looking for something different/unusual. He thought this beer was great!

I have also heard that going in the evening with entertainment is a great time.

We are have Thanksgiving Dinner here, we are looking forward to returning for the Holiday!

Keen Eye for the Shepherds Pie . I have had this on several trips and never been disapointed. Save room for dessert Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding is amazing. RR is our favorite place to eat at DD.

No! Don't change your mind.:goodvibes We always make ADRs at RR especially for the Its Not Bleedin Chowder. Its one of our favorite dishes. Its full of fresh seafood and is so delish! Along with some Guinness and Ger's Bread Pudding, you will have a fantastic meal. :thumbsup2

Paddy's Pork - Tasty pork loin stuffed with our signature sausage, drizzled with a honey soy glaze, with buttered leeks, cabbage, and mash potatoes

This was amazing!

Keen Eye for the Shepherds Pie - We give the traditional shepherd's pie a little makeover with our contemporary twist to this favorite dish

Very good. My mom liked it more then I did, but I think I just misordered for myself that evening. It's not that is was bad, far from it, but it wasn't what I wanted that night. Know what I mean?

When DH and I were there he had the mussells because he's a huge mussels fan and he loved them! He said the broth was great.
I had the It's Not Bleedin' Chowder and loved it! Super yummy broth and just the right amount of everything.
We shared the Kinky Crab app and enjoyed that as well. I can't comment on the desserts because we were so stuffed after the apps and entrees that we didn't have room.

Do you remember what all types of seafood were in it?

I don't remember what I ate for dinner, but I know I liked it. All I can really remember was how fabulous the bread pudding was for dessert. I can't even describe how yummy it was. Raglan Road was our fave on our last trip Our kids liked it and I was surprised because it is not a very "Disney" place. Our waitress told us even the locals like it.

BREAD PUDDING!!! :worship:

I cant believe noone has mentioned Sod the Stew - that was my favourite dish on our whole trip last time and the bread & butter pudding was to die for - we love RR,
Claire

We had a great meal at RR our last trip ... but I think our favorite thing we had was the:

Crock o' Pate - Rustic chicken liver pate served with an apricot chutney

it was really good and came with a lot of Pate - great appetizer to share

Does anyone know what different types of seafood are in the It's Not Bleedin' Chowder?
