Going to Disney in 2/2006 and am looking for a good character dinner to book. What do you reccomend? We are staying at WL.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

What characters are you interested in seeing? We did LTT and saw Goofy, Pluto, Minnie and Chip and Dale. The food was decent, the atmosphere in the restaurant very pleasant and I thought the character interraction was much better, more laid back and not as rushed, than breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We also did 1900 Park Fare. If you have a Cinderella lover I'd definitely suggest that. The food was outstanding and the restaurant is very pretty. If you only have boys though it probably wouldn't go over well.

The food at 1900 is fantastic!! I could make a meal out of just the salads and strawberry soup there. Yum!! However, there's nothing that will induce my 13 yo ds to eat here. Cinderella is just a little too girly for him at his age.

While the characters at LTT are great, the food does NOTHING for me. It tastes a little too much like the Stouffers meals we eat when we're too lazy to cook or pick-up something.

We haven't been to a CP dinner in quite a while, so I can't comment on that one. We might have to try that out in March. Breakfast there remains outstanding.

I absolutely HATE dinner buffets, but since we are going with a 3.5 year old next December I'm sure we will have to do one. We are debating between 1900 Park Fare and Liberty Tree- he still thinks Cinderella is cool so I don't think we will have an issue with princesses, but I am not that wild about the decor over at 1900- I think it is screaming for an update! We're thinking LTT the night of MVMCP... oh well, I guess I have 5 months or so to decide before our 180 day window....

We have tried Chef Mickey's for breakfast, the Garden Grill for lunch , the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner, and the Crystal Palace for dinner 2 years in a row. I thought CF's food was mediocre and the interaction was rushed. LTT we thought the food was good and the interaction was better than CM. The Garden Grill was excellent and the characters made a couple of rounds through. We also really liked the way the restaurant rotated. We really love the food at the CP though and have been there two years in a row. My dd's don't care about princesses so I can't say how any of those are. I wish they would bring the Villain's back! We have seen the main characters at each dinner and would enjoy seeing other Disney characters as well.

My absolute favorite was breakfast at Crystal Palace because Tigger is my hero!! We also really enjoyed The Garden Grill and Liberty Tree Tavern.

Liberty Tree Tavern is by far our favorite Chracter dinner.

Good food, good characters, good fun. And my 2.5 year old DS has the worlds BIGGEST crush on Minnie Mouse. Last time we were there he LAUNCHED himself into her arms yelling "Minnie! Minnie! I so love you!".

Made the trip more then worth it. :goodvibes

myslef and my 12 yr old sons loved chef mickeys had donald mickey minnie goofy and chip and dale. interraction was awesome but we had 930 pm res. char. came to table at least 5 times each and mickey even personalized an autograph for some one not with us. food was okay. breakfast at 1900 was great and characters were good. also ate at crystal palace and loved character but they were rushed.

The Pooh characters at Crystal Palace are fun--no rushing to eat, all characters come around, even a few times if you take longer to eat.

We have done Chef Mickeys and LTT--could go either way, not great, not good, not bad.

We did the Castle once, had a lot of characters, food was good.

They used to do a villian dinner at Grand Floridian which they discontinued--it was really fun, those villians do some good work with the crowd.

The breakfast with Donald at AK was alright--food wasn't that great, long lines to eat, some people missed the characters when they came around because they were waiting in line for food. That place is TOO small for the number of people they get.

I hope that rumor of Toy Story characters at MGM is true--we are going to be there the last week in May. My kids are 12 and 9 now--I don't think my daughter (who is 12) is too intereted in seeing Cinderella but she would love the Toy Story and Incredible characters--plus it would be a change of pace. We go to DW every 2-3 years and we keep doing the same meals--they are fun, but, like I said my kids are older, at some point we will stop paying the extra $$$ to go to them. I bet there is a big market out there for older kids to interact with different characters at meals.

Our favorite character dinner is CM's. The character's are very attentive to the children and the food is very good. However, breakfast at the CP is one of our favorite parts of our Disney trip. ::MinnieMo

Our favorite is CM with CP a close second. We also enjoyed CRT for the princesses.

Garden Grill without a doubt. The food is great, it's not a buffet, excellent character interaction, and the restaurants slowly revolves around Living with the Land. 1900 Park Fare would be my second choice.
