What is your favorite budget hotel chain?

Holiday Inn Express! Never had a bad stay with these folks, stayed at hotels all around the country.

I really like Fairfield (Marriott) and Hampton Inn (Hilton). .............

Theses are what we perfer and look for when on the road.

We just stayed at a Drury for the first time in San Antonio last month and loved it! We paid $90 for the first 2 nights and $70 for our last night, it was such a deal! We saved so much money on food during our vacation. Free breakfast, the evening kickback was free and worked for us for dinner (salad, baked potatoes, nachos, fresh veggies/dips, hot dogs, chicken strips, mac & cheese, chips, chili, fruit). 3 free alcoholic drinks per night per adult and free popcorn/soda for the kids all evening! The hotel was new and very nice! And the staff were awesome.

That sounds great... do all Drury Inns provide that?

We like Hampton Inn and have never had a bad experience (though our stays have been limited to the south and southwest).

druryhotels.com for more info and locations...we stayed at the Atlanta one and we had picked up one of those hotel discount books at a gas station on the way down there. They had an advertised price on the sign that was cheaper than the coupon, but because I had the coupon they gave me extra off anyway......We like the bed linens better at Hamton(we like staying at the Orlando mall location,as it is often much cheaper than their other orlando locations), but the breakfast we liked a bit better at Drury. The 2 we stayed at had fairly basic rooms,but were very clean...wish they had more of these...it saves so much on food!

We like La Quinta, Hampton Inn and Country Inn and Suites. So far we've never had a bad stay in one of these.
