What is your Favorite 70's Song?

I'm a child of the 70's :flower3:

Geez, there were so many but here are a few of the 45's I had:

Early 70's:

1. YoYo by the Osmonds :lmao:
2. I Think I Love You by the Partidge Family
3. Heartbeat is a Love Beat by the DeFranco Family
(I loved that bubblegum stuff)

Later 70's:
1. Everlasting Love by Andy Gibb
2. More Than a Woman by the Bee Gees ( Barry Gibb)
3. Isn't it Time by the Baby's
4. On the Radio by Donna Summer
5. Lots of stuff by Styx, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Bee Gees, Frampton, etc.

Mine would have to be "Breathe" by Pink Floyd. I actually used my high school quote from this song in 1975. "All you touch and All you see, Is all your Life will ever be" That still rings true to me today.

I would have to say 'Crazy Love' by Poco. I still have it on my play list.

Dance With Me - Orleans
anything Bee Gees and Andy Gibb
and back in the day 'You Take my Breath Away' by Rex Smith. Until my mom made me recite the lyrics to her one day. Oh dear, they were bad. I had such a crush on him

Hard to say I'm Sorry - Chicago
anything by the Police - and my enduring thing for Sting
anything ABBA
anything by the Eagles
the list goes on too long - I was a teenager in the 70's

Here is a link to a list of 70's songs.

Again with the OMG thing.

I would love to stop in for some singing and wine.... What time? ;)

I loved Afternoon Delight by the Starland Vocal Band. I'd play my 45 and my brother and I would sing along at the top of our lungs. I was around 9 years old and my brother was about 6. It was many, many, many years later that I really listened to the words and discovered their true meaning. Made those impromptu concerts seem....ummm...inappropriate.:rotfl2:

Saturday Night (S A T U R D A Y night!)
Tie a Yellow Ribbon

and there is a song that I've been trying to find for a while. I could only remember that a guy sang part of it and then a girl sang the chorus: How Do You Do Uh Huh . I just found the song on Youtube the other night! It actually is called How Do You Do by a duo from the Netherlands called Mouth & Macneil. It was so good to hear that song again!

I just looked up Andy Gibb on YouTube and watched videos of I Just Want to be your Everything and Shadow Dancing. Wow, no wonder I had a serious crush on him!

And of course I have to add the Bay City Rollers to my list of 70's faves. :lovestruc

I am listening to a lot of 70's stuff now that I didn't listen to then and gaining a great appreciation for it. Bands like the Doobie Brothers, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac. Still don't like Jethro Tull or ELP though, all those progressive art rock bands that DH loves so much :rotfl2:
