I read somewhere that there are 4,500 restaurants in Orlando. We love to try someplace new everytime we go. Our fav is the Ponderosa Steakhouse. The buffet's great, and for 8.99 you also get a good sirloin with a potato. What's your fav?

Kobe! Say it with me now, Ko-Bay! KOBE KOBE KOBE! It's my favorite teppenyaki-style resteraunt...... and the flaming volcano onions they make rock and the saki is the best!

Another vote for Kobe. We never miss the opportunity to eat here when we are in Orlando. :)

Without a doubt, it's Bahama Breeze.

I'm voting for Bahama Breeze too!!

YUM!!!

Another vote for Bahama Breeze!! It is so nice that there are now 2 locations in town!

Some other good ones are:

Darryl's (International Drive)
Cafe TuTu Tango (International Drive, serves appetizers only!)
Crabby Bill's (on 192)
Race Rock (International Drive)
and there is this little Italian place that we happened on a few years ago that I am drawing a blank on the name. It is off of Sand Lake Rd/Dr in a strip mall.

Cheesecake Factory
Mimi's Cafe
PF Chang

I couldn't choose one!

It's really hard to pick just one but if I'm forced then it would have to be Seasons 52 in the restauarnt enclave on Sand Lake Road.

Other favorites:
Tchoup Chop at Royal Pacific Resort
Sweet Tomatoes
Bubbalou's Bodacious BarBeCue

By the way, there's a whole thread with everyone's favorite offsite restaurants over on the Orlando Hotels & Attractions forum. It's well worth a look.

We really like Too Jays which is near the Florida mall in Orlando. The chef's salad is really good. My absolute favorite restaurant is actually in Kissimmee on Highway 192- Kissimmee Steak Company. I have to eat there every trip, or I consider it a wasted trip!!

Ann:earsgirl:

Charlie's or Charley's (sp) Steak House.

Emeril's Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific
MYTHOS in the Islands of Adventure
Steak and Shake near Downtown Disney
and here's a strange one... Denny's on Sand Lake and John Young! It's known for having the best chef in the Denny's chain and we never visit Orlando without saying hello to Michael's favorite waitress, Cupcake! :bounce:

Jungle Jims....love the theming and the Nachos are the best!!!!

Our very favorite off-site place is Pebbles. The food is GREAT, the atmosphere is nice, and the prices are very reasonable.

We also like Jungle Jim's - good food, fun atmosphere, and DH loves their Bloody Marys.

Another favorite is Sweet Tomatoes! It's a yummy salad and soup bar place. Great desserts, too!

P.S. We like Bahama Breeze and Kobe, too. We have those chains around here as well, though, so we usually try to eat someplace on vacation that we can't normally get.

For my family, it's Steak-N-Shake and Don Pablo's!!! Yum, Yum!!! The food is just delicious!!! In fact, when I go up there with my dad this weekend, I'm sure that we'll at least be stopping at Steak-N-Shake!!! :teeth:

Hanamizuki is a great, authentic Japanese restaurant on I Drive. Probably one of the best I've ever been to.

Emerils is great if you order carefully....otherwise your taste buds get blown out!

And Kobe gets a thumbs up from us also!

Wow....thats a tough one since Orlando is so huge. I would say it is a toss up between Smokey Bones BBQ (on Colonial) and Bubbalou's BBQ (I think there is one on 192).
