We are going to WDW Thankgiving week. I plan to make an ADR for one TS meal each day. I'm trying to decide if lunch or dinner would be better.

A sit down lunch is a pleasant break on a crowded day. But it would also be nice to tour like crazy, grab a quick bite, take an afternoon break, then have a nice early dinner.

What is your strategy?

That's our strategy. We like to schedule our dinner just before we get ready to go back to the parks. We fill out tummies, make our plan of attack, review what we've done so far, and then hit the parks. We have done a breakfast or two in the morning on occassion but its usually just because we were able to get the first ADR of the day and then we get the early entry to the park for a few snapshots sans other tourists.

I am going to make more dinner ADRs (on DDP) than lunch just because I think we'll get more for the money.

Other than a breakfast (Grand Gathering breakfast at Tony's) and a lunch (Hollywood and Vine so 4 year old can see JoJo, Einsteins) that are "necessities", I am going to try for all early dinner times. I hope that way we will still be able to do parks after we eat and walk off some of the food.

I guess it will depend a lot on where we plan to be when....it would be nice to eat our TS meals mostly at the resorts (less crowded, I hope), but I'm sure we'll want to do a TS at World Showcase at Epcot.

we go every thanksgiving for a week - we have adrs for dinner - we eat a special thanksgiving lunch at one of the world showcase restaurants - not necessarily turkey, last year it was tappanyaki and we put a honeycomb turkey on the table and wished each other a happy thanksgiving! the parks are open late so we have a good dinner then are fortified to stay as long as we want in the parks at night - the crowds lessen and most rides you can walk on...great fun!

So the crowds lessen on Thanksgiving night? I guess lots of people leave to have a big dinner? That's good to know!
