What is your Christmas obsession?

My name is Jenn, and I am obsessed with Christmas CD's. I can't stop buying them. I think I end up with 1/2 a dozen new ones every year. Most have similar songs.

There, now I feel better!

Anyone else want to admit to a Christmas obsession?

Wrapping paper. I always buy a ton after C'mas. I still have most of what I bought two years ago, but still...I keep getting more.

Baking. I always overextend myself, trying to bake 15 differnt types of cookies. Oh, how I wish I knew a group of people to do a cookie swap with!

Baking. I bake and bake, and my family can't eat it all. I just give it away. I love Christmas cookies, sugar, thumbprint, kisses, peppermint patties cooked inside the cookie (don't know what they're called.) I don't really bake much any other time.

I had a friend who used to make gorgeous blown glass ornaments! They looked like huge bubbles on the tree. I wish taht I could buy them somewhere.

snowmen, I love them. I put them out for Christmas and only take the obviously holiday ones down after leaving the rest up till February or so. I'm pitiful

MUST. MAKE. COOKIES!
It isn't Christmas without cookies. Specifically, the roll-out dough, decorate with sprinkles and such before baking kinds. But we usually do 12 or more different kinds in addition to the decorated ones!

Also, have LOTS of trees. 2 full size, 1 medium sized, and I think I'm up to 5 tabletop ones. And on the big trees, LIGHTS. To the tune of 3000 lights on my 7.5' tree. DH wears his sunglasses in the family room.

Mostly ribbon though. Not bows, ribbon. I love to wrap a present up nice and tie a nice big bow on it with a matching tag.

I too love Christmas CDs - working for an audio distributer I get a lot of CDs free and I have a lot of Christmas CDs.

Decorating in general is so much fun for me.

CD's here as well - I LOVE Christmas music. I could listen to it year round (and often do. )

I also love to bake lots of Christmas cookies each year. I've started giving them away as presents.

Gingerbread houses.


This year I will be making 28 for the kids in the neighborhood to decorate.

I have also been asked to have a moms only gingerbread decorating party...I think we will bake, assemble and decorate with the moms.

Christmas candles. I have a whole box of them that I store in my bedroom closet. They would get to hot in the attic with the rest of the Christmas decorations.

Candles that smell like Bayberry, pine, apple or cinamon. Mmmmmm

Pluse the huge boxes of decorations I thrill at putting around the house!

Plus the special "Angel" tree I have in addition to our huge natural tree every year.

I am obsessed with baking, baking, baking! I love to bake as others have said too.

Also, another wicked obsession of mine is that I must watch all the old b/w holiday movies, It's A Wonderful Life, Scrooge---all the old versions, and all the cartoons from my childhood --- Peanuts Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, that one with those two brothers, one that lives in the North the other in the south, and they sing that catchy song -- I'm Mr. Ice Crystals, I'm Mr. Snow, I'm Mr. Ice Christmas, I'm Mr.10 below.........whatever I touch, turns to ice in my clutch......... bada ba da ba I'm too much! over and over again! LOL After watching that one (I think it's called The Year Without A Santa Claus) I am singing that silly song all day at work!

I can't wait to start marking my tv guide!

Anything that's blue.

I decorate in blues, white, and silver, and must think that someday retailers won't sell as much in that color scheme, so I buy it all when I see it =)
