What is your Christmas Gift Budget?

Just curious on how much people spend on Christmas?

Our budget is $350, including the cost of shiping to DH's out-of-state mom and grandparents. But we dont' have any kids (yet!) either.

Due to DW new job as SAHM, the budget has been cut to about 20% of last years christmas spending. So I chose 201-400 and about 3/4 of that will be on out little one.

Probably between 1100-1200. We buy around 20 people.

WOW I WISH we could get away with a $350 budget !!!!


We spend Christmas Eve with Grandparents, Cousins, 2nd cousins and an Aunt and Uncle.. We only buy for the children, 7, 2nd cousins.. And of course something for Grandma and Grandpa...

As for children we spend about $15-20 each on them.. I mean there are 7 of them and we only have 1 child..

Then we exchange thru mail with DH's Parents, Sister, Brother in law and niece.. Also thru mail my Brother and his fiancee.. And my half sister is out of state too so she be getting something by mail as well..

This year we have 8 more children to buy for.. DH and I have gotten pretty close with 2 friends and their family. So I know I will be buying presents for 6 kids from 1 family and 2 kids from the other..

Then there is my mother..

My dad, my step mom, my half brother...

My hubby and my son plus our cat..

soooooooo as for a total, we are in the thousand mark by the time Christmas is over.. Thank goodness DS is in HS, no more presents for teachers and bus drivers..
